Over the past few months, a team has come together to answer founder Lars' call for a team to run UKMIX and help the site to thrive into the years to come. Many of us have come to see this site as an online home and want to see it continue to grow and thrive. The first stage was the questionnaire (thanks, JimJim!). Now, we are ready to announce the Administration team and our first fundraiser to help keep the site running smoothly.

Head Admin: Shane (SholasBoy)
Co-Admin: Matthew DIxon
Admin Emeriti: Lars & Amir
Site Editor: JimJim
Treasurer: Dustin (tdc2000)

Web Development is open and an issue going forward. If any of you have the time and expertise to help, let one of the above six people know. To be sure we can address any site needs, we may need to hire freelance/ outsourced developers to improve and maintain the site. For that reason, we are requesting the fine members of the site to make donations of any amount. To ease the transfer of funds, a gofundme account has been created. Funds raised will be used to make enhancements to the site and pay tech to solve any problems that arise.

Thank you for your support!

Would it be possible to Donate via PayPal, rather than just by Credit Card or Debit Card?

I would like to Donate - but by my PayPal Account.

Hello, yes I would like to pay via paypal too, is/will this be possible?
Also I think you need to really promote this to members as I only caught site of this post by accident, I will keep an eye out on this development

Thanks for your willingness to donate!

I just checked and gofundme no longer uses Paypal.

If you would like to PM me and discuss another way to donate, we can figure something out.

I agree and I think under the circumstances this is the sort of situation where it would be acceptable to send an email to all members. Although there is probably a problem in that most registered members possibly / probably no longer post here and the email address that is held could be out of date. That could create additional work for the admin.

Weird that literally no one replied to this thread. Like folks, you're using this forum, yet when it comes to such an important topic, you're silent.

Just donated. Even though I'm not really that active anymore and I'm not that connected with the users here, I still spend alot time in here the past years. Would be cool to keep it alive.

Edit: Uhm the thread isn't listed on the front page. Why though? :-?

It is a great pity that Go Fund Me does not use PayPal. I find that paying via PayPal is very easy & fast.

If we could Donate via Pay Pal I'd do so several times. I Donate to the Polyhex Chart Runs Site via PayPal,
at least 3 times a Year.

The UKMIX Site is very important to me, & I certainly want to ensure that it is able to carry on.

I am thinking of how to contribute if PayPal cannot be used. I 100% want to help out with the Funding.

I see that only 2 people have Donated - so far - with $30 between them.

It is as if everyone else is watching & waiting to see how many other people Donate, before they do so.

I don't want to look & wait. I want to Donate now - and again later in 2016. It is just the means to do so that is stopping me.

I can certainly afford to Donate & UKMIX deserves our help. (I realise that not everyone can afford to Donate).

I'll donate later, the goal is quite a large amount of money! :o Do you think we'll reach it?

This should be shown to posters in the chart analysis sections particularly.

I noticed the fundraiser was opened almost 1 month ago, how come you only posted it here a few days ago?

Huge thanks to everyone for donating!

CrazyCrazy, to answer your question re timings - the actual fundraiser was provisionally set up back then, but it took some time to have time to work out what the various wording/graphics etc was going to be on the page, and confirm what we needed to put in this topic, etc.

Thanks to everyone who donated so far! Much appreciated.

The fundraising site will stay open indefinitely so people can donate any time. I am looking into a way to donate by PayPal as well.

The $5000 goal is just a target. We can keep this site going for less.
