Queen are mega-cringe in general but Killer Queen is quite good. So my vote goes their way!

Hope Queen wins. I am not voting, as I did not participate in previous rounds.

I agree with those who are disappointed by this final, since I don't consider either of these to be true glam rock. To truly represent glam rock the final should be between a T.Rex track and a Slade one.

However, we are where we are so I vote for Life On Mars as the better song.

Two songs I totally love, so would be happy either way, but my vote's for Killer Queen.

So - time to post the result.

Our runner up is from one of the greatest and most diverse rock musicians of all time, the late great David Bowie. He definitely had a glam period - and you could see hints of it in his album "Hunky Dory", hence Wikipedia listed "glam rock" as one of the genres on the album ("Oh You Pretty Things" for example would fit). However, it was rather more dubious whether the singles, "Life On Mars" and "Changes" fit the genre. "Life On Mars" qualified for this survivor automatically as a top 10 hit, and whilst "Changes" wasn't actually a UK single - until it charted after his death - it had to go through round 0, and missed out by a whisker.

Still, "Life On Mars" did really well, and came close to winning this whole survivor.

So here we go - our winner is a truly fantastic song from a truly fantastic band. They're a band who started off being glam rock, but took glam and then developed it on and on into so many different styles of music. They're a band who people don't think of as glam rock, but if they'd stopped after their first two albums, I don't think there would be any question. The winner of this glam rock survivor is their majesties Queen with the wonderful "Killer Queen"

@Matthew: Thank you so very much for this Survivor!
Didn't know the majority of songs, so this was nice reviewing them.
Liked the Wizzard's Christmas song and Roy Wood's solo effort. Geordie and David Essex were pretty cool, too.
Slade is totally overrated but Merry Xmas Everybody should have been Top 10; Gary Glitter was so bad and sounds extremely outdated.
Looking forward to your next project! :D
