This year we've had two pretty popular year titled songs (Anne Marie's 2002 and Charli XCX/Troye Sivan's 1999), thought it'd be an interesting idea for a Survivor.

I've had a think of the best way to kick things off, I had a list of about 100 just drawing from lists on songfacts.com and playlist search on spotify, and also typing random years into spotify as well as some of my own picks that weren't listed, some of the list was a bit obscure.
https://www.songfacts.com/category/song ... -the-title
https://open.spotify.com/user/jossafoss ... 1IzGl1vM5w

I also thought of placing the restriction of the title has to be a full year only, not a date, or not accompanying text (for instance 'Summer of 69' and 'December 1963 (Oh What A Night)' would be ineligible under these criteria. Unsure about Jay Sean's '2012 (It Ain't The End)' since you could technically omit the brackets, but anyways what does everyone think? I'll post a base list and leave the thread open to nominations, see what ones people want to include to a sizable number and get things going.

ok we have 118 songs, some of those are borderline on the eligibility (year prefix is how years are sometimes referred too, Y2K = Year 2000 and the worded titles are the years just not stylised as numbers).

I also listened to some instrumental tracks, but didn't include them as they didn't have any lyrical connection to the title like the majority of the others do but I think that should do. lets get things started by randomising the list and setting 5 groups of 20 and one group of 18 first round.

#mess.

Alright hold up. Do we want an extended first round with smaller groups of 10 to familiarise and save as many as you like?

Oh sorry, I was just making a suggestion to add to your list - haha. I don't know most of these these songs though.

Save up to 5, plus I’ll add cheap thrills song to make the last round a group of four nine.
