44. Judee Sill - The Pearl

Current All-Time Position: #14

A spiritual ditty from the late Ms Sill (well most of her songs are), perfect, the song has a hopeful yet sad lyric.

Current All-Time Position: #167

I think I can credit this to Carbon when he included it in a game I hosted not so long ago, I really like her feisty style here and this song is just so catchy!

Corinne's lead single from her latest, it hit big with me in 2016, lovely neo-soul vibe.

It's so catchy, how to resist! She has a good voice for sure, this album is pretty good. :D

40. The Blasters - Dark Night

Current All-Time Position: #164

Great gritty Blues/roots rock, first discovered this from one of my fave films "From Dusk Till Dawn", it finally impacts my chart in 2016. This song really suits the film too.

Current All-Time Position: #112

Teenage years song for me, one of the sad songs from her diary, sweet and sincere. I was mocked in the album cup for liking this.

I love that big juicy and twangy chorus, so great to sing-along to, really nice song from her underrated "Wildflower" album, moves in to the top 40 all-time this year.

33. Amy Studt - Ladder In My Tights

Current All-Time Position: #161

This is the single that never was, wonder what would have happened if this was released instead of "All I Wanna Do"? It's so catchy and infectious, angsty girly pop which has an Alisha's Attic touch. :P

Yay Meg Myers and Goldfrapp.

Sorry if you didn't know (and sorry if you did!), but Keith Emerson also died in 2016, not just Greg Lake.

30. The Beach Boys - Surf's Up

Current All-Time Position: #63

Vocals, melody, the harmonies! :o Such a rich and amazing song from them. The "Smile Sessions" version is the best, although both are perfect.

This beauty currently sits as my favourite song, I love the richness of the music and the lyrics are so touching, I think this could be Paul's best ever song, it's totally stunning and you guys must check out it's parent album.

Current All-Time Position: #52

Amy goes ape-shit on this one, she's a kooky monster on this. A great song, the part at 2:30 when the whole song hushes and she starts to talk is an amazing lift in the song.

26. David Bowie - Blackstar

Current All-Time Position: #50

When I saw the video I was so pumped, so cool and dark and the song is strangely catchy and sounds like a few songs put together but it works imo, Bowie went out on a creative high and I'll miss him. One more from Bowie to come.
