Patrolla (Matt Ward) is a Grammy and Brit Award Nominated UK based Songwriter, Record Producer and Remixer.
Adamski (born Adam Paul Tinley, 4 December 1967) is an English record producer.
A remake of the 1990 dance classic, this brings it bang up to date and could've been a hit with the right push.

Hedley is a Canadian pop-rock group originating in Abbotsford, British Columbia that formed in 2003.
Discovered this during the FSC earlier this year; grabs you instantly and is like Maroon 5 at their best.

Usher Raymond IV (born October 14, 1978) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor.
One of the most subtle and smooth songs of the year - I'm sure it would've been big ten years ago.

Usher's track is nice, should have been a bigger hit for him.

Uncle Jack is Brazilian producer and DJ.
Yness is a Croatian vocalist.
Like a cross between Wamdue Project and Tamperer, this is a banger.

Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known as JLo, is an American singer, actress, dancer, fashion designer, author, and producer.
A strong showing in both song and video for J-Lo this year, catchy and simple - would've smashed in her hey-day.

Tinashe Fazakerley (born February 6, 1993), now professionally known as Rationale is a Zimbabwe-born British singer-songwriter.
Rationale is a real talent and I'm still waiting for him to breakthrough, this song in particular is proper lush.

Crash is a good song but when I compare it with it's 'peers' such as Climax and Good Kisser, I prefer the others.
J.Lo for me was a better video than it was a song, though it definitely is catchy!

"Crash" is okay. It didn't do much for me. "Ain't Your Mama" is good, though!

Héloïse Letissier (born 1 June 1988), known by her stage name Christine and the Queens is a French singer, songwriter and producer.
One of the more surprising hits of the year, this really gets under your skin - especially the "magic marker" bit.

Rudimental are an English drum and bass band, signed to Asylum Records, Atlantic Records and Black Butter Records.
Joseph Angel is a multi-talented American singer/producer/songwriter published by RocNation.
I've loved Rudimental's more soulful/funky direction of late and this one ticks all the boxes.

Guy James Robin, better known by his stage name Jonas Blue, is an English DJ, songwriter, record producer and remixer.
John Paul Cooper known better as JP Cooper (born in Middleton, England in 1983), is an English singer.
Much better than Fast Car, this perfectly combined pop with tropical house and even African flavours.

Agreed that Perfect Strangers was so much better than Fast Car - however, Tilted isn't my favourite Christine release. Good, though!

Thomas Peter Odell (born 24 November 1990) is an English singer-songwriter.
The album from which this glorious song is taken is one of my favourite of the year, he's turned into a cracking musician.

'Crash' is the best thing Usher has released in year, IMO. Lush track.
J.Lo <3 'Ain't Your Mama' is amazing.

Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (born 16 July 1990), better known by his stage name Wizkid, is a Nigerian songwriter and performer.
Kyla Reid (née Smith), commonly known as Kyla, is a British house music singer in the UK funky subgenre.
Despite being at #1 at least 10 weeks too long, I can't deny the allure of this song - simple, catchy, clever.

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (born 18 December 1975) is an Australian singer, songwriter, record producer and video music director.
Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques (born 9 January 1973) is a Jamaican rapper, singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and actor.
Rihanna will rue the day she turned this down, potentially so generic but Sia manages to elevate it into a great pop moment.

Love the last three entries. Sia's one is brilliant. Drake's one is probably one of his best ones ever for me, while Tom's track should have been a big(ger) hit for him...

I like but can live without the Sia and Drake songs, that's my favourite Tom O track though!

Camp dance/pop with slight elements of house plus a diva vocal = my cup of tea.
