Looking through all bubbling under positions, there were a few songs that need a special mention from me, so here they are.

164. Kerli – Feral Hearts
Image
Chartrun in 2016: *1*-1-1-3-7-7-11-6-9-17-21-24-22-19-14-16-16-14-17-24-28-35-25-16-20-27-25-34-36-Out-RE 31-27-25-21-17-21-21-17-13-10- / 39w
Chartrun in 2017: 15-*11*-17-28-35-Out / 5w
Certification: 2x PLATINUM
Ranking in the YEC 2016: #1
Having topped the Year-End Charts 2016, “Feral Hearts” by Kerli falls all the way down to #164 on this years list, after having spent five weeks on the weekly charts at the beginning of the year. It’s one of five entries by the Estonian Charts Empress, and already the third highest one.
175. Charlie Puth – Attention / 134. Selena Gomez – Kill Em With Kindness
Image Image
”Attention” Chartrun: 29-Out-RE 27-*25*-29-28-33-38-Out / 7w
“Kill Em With Kindness” Chartrun in 2016: *1*-1-2-3-3-4-6-6-5-6-12-14-16-15-20-22-25-24-26-26-30-34-33-34-33-31-28-31-38- / 29w (#2 YEC 2016) / Chartrun in 2017: 37-28-22-24-25-25-28-32-31-34-35-38-Out / 12w / Certification: PLATINUM
A double mention here, as these two songs are the highest songs on the Year-End Charts that didn’t peak inside the Top20 on the weekly charts. “Attention” was Charlie Puth’s lead single to his upcoming second album “Voicenotes” and the highest charting non-Top20 hit that was released in 2017, while Selena has the highest charting non-Top20 hit overall, but her “Kill Em With Kindness” already had a very successful 2016 with ending it at #2 on the Year-End Charts.
132. Ariana Grande – One Last Time
Image
Chartrun in 2015: *1*-2-3-4-7-10-8-9-11-9-6-5-10-13-14-21-24-27-22-25-28-31-34-36-Out / 24w
Chartrun in 2017: *1*-3-7-19-28-37-Out / 6w
Certification: PLATINUM
Ranking in the YEC 2015: #5
Probably one of the most shocking events in 2017 was the reason for one of the most beautiful events in 2017: The benefit concert ‘One Love Manchester’. Ariana’s performance of “One Last Time” was one of the best performances this year and always gives me tears in my eyes. The song is one of eight weekly number one singles that didn’t make the Year-End Chart Top100, the others are: “Out Of The Darkness” by My Indigo (#236), “Feliz Navidad” by Tarja (#178), “Feel Me Now” by Ariadne (#167), “Carol Of The Bells” by Lindsey Stirling (#137), “Fragments” by Pegasus (#136), “Sound Of Walking Away” by Illenium & Kerli (#128) and “Avalanche” by Cellar Darling (#101).

The Lady Antebellum album was one of only two country albums I listened to this year - the other being Shania's - and I thought it was good.

Cardi B is definitely a big highlight of the year for me as well. Her ascent to the top ranks with three Top 10 hits back to back to back has been amazing to see. It's the first time since Nicki Minaj's lethal run-up in 2009/2010 to Pink Friday that I'm so excited for a female rapper's LP.

Ashley Tisdale making the Top360   What a queen.

I’m surprised to see Taylor’s Gorgeous so low.....Did you not enjoy it that much Tansike?

Cashmere Cat - A standout track for me :).

Bjork ‘The Gate’ - I’m not into Bjork that much, she is very hit and miss with me but I adore her personality. In saying that I actually really enjoy the song.

Not Liam falling so soon :(. Strip that down is such an amazing song . Deserved Top100 in my opinion :).

One Last Time grew on me massively after the tragedy and subsequent concert that occurred, the whole thing gave the song a special significance that I can't neglect when listening to the song

Thanks for all comments so far!

Unfortunately, i'm currently WAY busier than expected, but i hope i can catch up with everyone's own countdown later this week...

As for now, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone <3

JSparksFan wrote:The Lady Antebellum album was one of only two country albums I listened to this year - the other being Shania's - and I thought it was good.

Glad you enjoyed it! It's definitely a nice record, from start to finish. Ah, Shania's one is great too, but i see it more as a Pop album than a Country album...

Same with me! I'm really looking forward to her first album, even if this still is far away from being my favorite genre. But "Bodak Yellow" was a deserved smash and she just has such a sweet personality, so i'm rooting for her.

JSparksFan wrote:I like these from the first batch:

335. Adam Lambert Two Fux (much too low!  )
310. Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug Havana (I'm not talking to you again after this  )
302. Camila Cabello Never Be The Same (this above "Havana"? :o :o :o )
301. Camila Cabello feat. Quavo OMG (and this one's above it, too? :o :o :o )
I thought "Two Fux" was VERY disappointing and is probably his weakest single to date for me
Haha... Camila is a surprising one, indeed, cause "Havana" deserved more on my charts. Somehow it missed its timing though. Definitely a good song.

JSparksFan wrote:Okay, the first batch was tough. Let's see how this next one looks:

218. Lindsey Stirling Crystallize (ah, this song >>>)
134. Selena Gomez Kill Em With Kindness (Selena's best post-Scene song)
132. Ariana Grande One Last Time (the very tragic event led me to appreciate this song more)
Lindsey <3
Agree with the other two! :)

 I simply love her  She used to be HUGE with the singles from her first two albums on my charts...

When it got released as a promo single i thought it's weak AF. It grew on me once the album came out but that wasn't enough to let it back onto my charts.

Glad you like that one!

"The Gate" was wonderful on week one for me, but somehow her whole "Utopia" project left me quite cold, what's shocking because i absolutely adored "Vulnicura" when it was released. Glad to hear you enjoy "The Gate" though and i agree about her personality :)

Liam will have one entry in the Top100, i hope you will like that one as well

Thanks for voting! :)

Yes, it was a nice single at the beginning of the year. A shame it didn't do more on the official charts out there :(

He simply didn't get me as much as he did with his debut album stuff. Maybe the release of "Voicenotes" will change this...

Definitely. It's sad on one side, but also beautiful to see how a song can influence something like this the way it did. The lyrics got a completely different meaning now and it became such a heartbreaking song now.

100. Lindsey Stirling – Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy

Dancing Violinist Lindsey Stirling opens up the Year-End Charts 2017 with her Christmas single “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy”, which was the first single of her Christmas album “Warmer In The Winter”. It’s a lovely cover and still charting on the latest weekly chart, and her first of six entries on the countdown. Music Video
99. Loreen – Body
Image
Chartrun: *3*-4-6-13-20-35-Out / 6w

After waiting years for some music by the Swedish singer Loreen, 2017 was finally a good year again with an EP and a full-length studio album. “Body” was the first release of her “Nude” EP and Loreen’s first of three entries on the Year-End Charts. Live Performance
98. Loïc Nottet – Mud Blood

Chartrun: *5*-7-12-16-23-26-32-Out / 7w

From one ESC artist to another. Belgian singer Loïc has released his debut album “Selfocracy” in 2017 to amazing response, with “Mud Blood” being the second single of it. “Mud Blood” basically sounds like a song by Sia, just the male version. This is already Loïc’s only entry, as his other single “A Million Eyes” is #108 on the bubbling under chart. Music Video
97. Tarja – O Tannenbaum
Image
Chartrun: *3*-20-39-32-25-14-12-14- / 8w

Tarja is no stranger when it comes to my personal charts, and 2017 was yet another good year for the Finnish siren. She has released her third Christmas album “From Spirits And Ghosts”, where “O Tannenbaum” was taken from as the second single. The track is currently her only song not to reach the top spot on the weekly chart, but it still showed good longevity and is still charting. Her first of four appearances. Music Video
96. Marina Kaye – Merci quand même
Image
Chartrun: *6*-9-15-11-14-23-39-Out / 7w
Certification: -
Following a very successful debut album, Marina Kaye has released her second album “Explicit” in late 2017, which is yet another strong pop effort. “Merci quand même” is one of the very few songs sung in French and her first of three entries on the countdown. Audio

Ranking in the YEC 2016: #189
What a year it was for Zara Larsson! After breaking through in 2016, the singer has released her international debut album “So Good” in early 2017, which spawned several singles, including “I Would Like”, which already made it to the chart in 2016. In 2017, the track came back due to several events, including the album release and a concert effect in autumn, which was enough to push this strong dance tune to Gold status. Lyric Video
94. Zedd & Liam Payne – Get Low
Image
Chartrun: 12-*11*-14-15-18-21-29-33-38-Out / 9w

Former One Directioner Liam Payne and German DJ/Producer Zedd have teamed up on this catchy and heavily underrated tune. I’m still baffled how this bombed chartswise, as it’s definitely one of Zedd’s best and by far Liam’s best outcome to date. Music Video
93. Amy Lee – Speak To Me
Image
Chartrun: 35-30-24-10-*4*-7-13-26-Out / 8w
Certification: -
It took a few years, but 2017 was finally another good year for Evanescence fans, as not only the band, but also their frontwoman Amy Lee has released some stuff. “Speak To Me” was a soundtrack single and came out in the first half of 2017. Nothing new for the singer, but her ballads were always so strong, so why wanting to change that? Music Video
92. Dihaj – Skeletons
Image
Chartrun: 19-*3*-6-9-15-24-31-Out / 7w
Certification: -
Here’s the first of several entries from 2017’s ESC on the Year-End Charts: Azerbaijan’s Dihaj with “Skeletons”. Being a favorite right from the start, the entry ended up with a good 14th placement on the contest, most likely also due to her eye-catching performance.
91. Kristian Kostov – Beautiful Mess
Image
Chartrun: 5-*4*-7-10-19-26-35-Out / 7w
Certification: -
And here’s already the next ESC entry from 2017: Kristian Kostov from Bulgaria and his song “Beautiful Mess”, which ended up with a brilliant second placement, their best result ever! While Kristian may look like a younger Bieber on first sight, he’s definitely more than that, as his voice is surprisingly strong and this track is definitely not a cheesy Pop song. For sure a highlight on the ESC! Live Performance
