Welcome to my end-of-year chart! I haven't done one for a couple of years now, but thought it would be the right time to start again.
In this topic, I will present me top 40 songs of the year, which will include both singles and album tracks. Just the songs I have loved a lot this year. Before it starts, don't forget to vote in the poll :) (Some of the options in the poll failed to make the top 40 or I didn't even like that much).

Hope to see Hurts winning (but I think that Little Mix will have a great chance to take the crown). - Can't wait.

Some great losses. I really do love "Beautiful Ones"; it's an anthem; I am glad that it was the soundtrack to this year's Pride in Berlin.
"Homemade Dynamite" was an interesting track. I don't really love it but it's definitely a good track.
"Magnificent" is lovely and part of the few tracks which are truly great on "Desire"
"Younger Now" should have made the list, in my opinion. It's one of Miley's finest singles. It should have smashed worldwide.
After "Ultraviolence", I didn't bother to buy Lana's third studio album but "Lust For Life" (the track) made me like her again and was the reason that I bought her latest record. It's such an amazing track! + Her voice matches the voice of The Weekend so weel!

I think I was going to vote for Dua, but ended up pressing on Lady Gaga for some reason!

Out of the songs that missed out, my favourites are definitely Love Galore and Homemade Dynamite. Love Galore grew on me so much, from not liking it too much when I first heard it. and Homemade Glory is Lorde doing what she does so well, also love the remix with Khalid, SZA and Post Malone (get them streaming points Lorde!)

Something told me to go with "The Cure" in the poll!

From your missed list, I have to say boo at "Beautiful Ones" getting axed. For me, that's the best song Hurts has released since "Wonderful LIfe".

Hurts - Beautiful Ones
Lana Del Rey featuring The Weekend - Lust For Life
Lorde - Homemade Dynamite
Miley Cyrus - Younger Now
Pink - Beautiful Trauma
Steps - Story Of A Heart
SZA featuring Travis Scott - Love Galore
Tinashe - Flame

I don't know your music taste to well Fan, but I voted for: Lady GaGa - The Cure.

Quite sad to see two Hurt songs miss the chart :( (even if they aren't the best out of their songs)

Hurts - Beautiful Ones
Hurts - Magnificent

Voted for Dua Lipa in the poll.

Wish SZA had made the top 40! I enjoy the Muna, Major Lazer, Lorde & Lana songs as well, but can see why they missed out. Same goes for Tinashe, Flame was a let down from her. Plus thank goodness that Geri Halliwell song missed out, the stripped back production showed how thin her vocals have become.

I'm hoping that Paloma Faith will appear on your charts as I think you've mentioned that you loved "Kings and Queens", if I remember correctly. :D
