012. Katy Perry + Nicki Minaj | Swish Swish
Let's just say 'Witness' wasn't Katy's most successful era. I really liked 'Chained To The Rhythm' and 'Bon Appetit', but the Nicki Minaj-assisted 'Swish Swish' outshines both songs. Let's just forget about the horrible video, the song is an absolute tune. Should have been a much bigger hit for her.

011. Jennifer Lopez + Wísin | Amor, Amor, Amor
Jenny Lo know show to deliver an anthem. 'Amor, Amor, Amor' is one of those anthems that should have been a big smash hit. I think she should have launched the 'Pro Primera Vez' era with this one instead of 'Ni Tú, Ni Yo', because this song's more radio friendly. I absolute love this track. She looks stunning in the music video too. She just won't age. Vampire Queen.

014. Becky G + Bad Bunny | Mayores

LOVE THIS! TBH I think she is a star in the making.

012. Katy Perry + Nicki Minaj | Swish Swish

Ugh, I just never know how i feel about Swish Swish. Some days when it comes on my Spotify playlist, I'm like yesssss girl. Then other days it's an instant skip and I can't stand it. Whats up with that? Defs not the making of a good song I guess....

012. Katy Perry + Nicki Minaj | Swish Swish

I liked the throwback house vibe, but then came Nicki Minaj and wasted what could have been a coherent song (it doesn't mean that her flow or verse was bad, it was just out of place in this particular song).
The music video was just Katy trying too hard to get those memes.

010. Enrique Iglesias + December Bueno & Zion y Lennox | SÚBEME LA RADIO
Another summer, another Enrique Iglesias smash. The King of Latin Music has been dominating the charts around the world with his summer singles over the past couple of years and 2017 was no exception. 'SÚBEME LA RADIO' took a while on me to grow, but I absolutely love it now. Brings back good memories of better weather. (I'm only here for the Spanish version by the way. The English one doesn't do it for me.

009. Debi Nova | Gran Ciudad
Go.check.out.this.album. Debi Nova released her fantastic album 'Gran Ciudad' early 2017. The record is about her moving from Costa Rica to L.A. t pursue her dreams to become a singer. The title track is such a gorgeous song. It's my soundtrack to my trips to Barcelona this year and it has become my soundtrack of my favourite place in the world. Even though you don't like Spanish music - or can't understand a word - please check it out. Music is an universal language.

008. DJ Khaled + Rihanna & Bryson Tiller | Wild Thoughts
A DJ Khaled in my Top 10. I would have never thought it was possible, but when he collaborated with Rihanna and sampled one of my all-time favourite songs, it was bound to happen. The 'Maria Maria' sample is what carries the song. 'Wild Thoughts' was one of my ultimate summer bops. The sample, the beat, Rihanna, the music video - all scream hot summer night. Pure fire.

Swish Swish is an unmistakable bop, Adam's just jealous Estelle could never.

Wild Thoughts reminded me of early 00s urban music - we need more of it.

Thank god Estelle did never!

Love Wild Thoughts, I wouldn't have predicted it as highly for myself either but it had real staying power.

007. Maluma | Felices Los 4
At first I was a bit underwhelmed by this song, but the more I heard it, the more I started loving it. A smooth bop from King Maluma. I loved the performance of this song during his tour. Went to his show in Amsterdam and was blown away. He's actually really talented, a good singer and great performer. I'd love to go to one of his shows again. I really like the salsa version of this song with Marc Anthony. Maluma is my king.

006. Dua Lipa | New Rules
When I first heard this song, I knew this was Dua's key to success and her big breakthrough. I'm so happy this song blew up and that she scored such a big global hit with it. Totally deserved. I've been to two of hers shows and I really enjoyed it. She's a great performer and has so much charisma. Looking forward to DL2. I hope she releases the new album sooner than later.

I do
I think it's because of the beat os the songs, the Spanish language and the energy. Latin music usually is quite uplifting and energetic. I think that's why it has become one of my fave genres over the pst couple of years. Wepa!

Shakira is yet to come, she's top 5 - but you will have to wait and see if she'll be #1

005. Jennifer Lopez + Gente de Zona | Ni Tú Ni Yo
Jenny came back this year with the release of 'Ni Tú Ni Yo', the first single from her upcoming Spanish album 'For Primera Vez'. Even though I think the song wasn't the right single choice to launch the era with ('Amor x3' would have been the better choice) - I'm glad she released this. The song became the soundtrack to my vacation in Lisbon this year. My friends and I used to sing it in the car and in our apartment all day. It's super catchy. The single cover is beautiful.

004. Shakira | Me Enamoré
I'm a big Shakira fan and I was so excited when she released 'Chantaje' late 2016. I think that song has become one of her most iconic hits and that's why I couldn't wait to see what song she would release next. 'Me Enamoré' did not disappoint. What a catchy, uplifting and sweet song it is. The song's about her falling in love with Piqué and I think the music video (and also the lyric video) is too cute. Heard the song for the first time when I was in Spain, so good memories.

003. Luis Fonsi + Daddy Yankee | Despacito
The biggest hit of 2017. I fell in love with this one BEFORE the Bieber mix. My friends in Barcelona used to play it a lot when I visited them back in April. The song brings back good memories of dancing, drinking and partying for me. I can see how people are tired of hearing it now, because it's so overplayed. That said, I'm truly happy latin music was so succesfull in 2017. This songs has opened many doors. Also, I'm very happy for both Luis and Daddy Yankee. They have been around for such a longtime and they finally get that global success.

Me Enamoré is a really great song! Not as strong as some of her other Spanish singles but very enjoyable to say the least.

I quite enjoyed Despacito in its early days but I soon was bored of it after few weeks. I actually prefer the Justin version for obvious reasons  As much as I love Justin, I'm annoyed he sort of began the latin trend of English speaking pop stars trying to get a cheap hit, that got old sooo fast and looked desperate after a while.

This actually made me enjoy the song so much more and 100 agree! It is wayyyyyy to cute :). (Even though most of the time, I don't know what she is saying).
