Please note: although X-Men etc are part of the Marvel Comics franchise, they are distributed through 20th Century Fox, unlike The Avengers etc who are distributed by Marvel Studios. It is for this reason that the two universes have been separated accordingly.

Mark Ruffalo has said that The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be have a darker tone:

"I would say that it's better, it's cooler, it's more awesomer. It's a little bit darker, but also really has Joss Whedon's incredible witty and sly sense of humor."

Paul Bettany is getting the lemme lemme Upgrade U from voice, to full fledged character:

Paul Bettany to Play The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

It looks like Paul Bettany might very well have an expanded presence in Joss Whedon's upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. England's The Daily Mail is reporting that the actor will play android team member The Vision in the May 1, 2015 release.

Bettany is no stranger to Marvel Studios films. He has provided the voice of Tony Stark's computer system, J.A.R.V.I.S. in all three Iron Man films as well as the original Marvel's The Avengers. It seems likely that, as has long been speculated by fans, the sequel will see Stark's program evolve into a fully-fledged A.I. android. Bettany was reportedly spotted at Shepperton Studios for a costume test.

The Vision has been a major part of the team since his debut in "The Avengers" #57 all the way back in 1968. In the comics, the character falls in love with and marries Scarlet Witch, who will be played in the sequel by Elizabeth Olsen.

In addition to quite a few returning Avengers, Age of Ultron will also feature James Spader as the title villain, Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Strucker and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Scarlet Witch's brother, Quicksilver.

Scarlett Johanson will have a big role in The Avengers 2.

When Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits the big screen on April 4, it will mark Scarlett Johansson's third big screen appearance as Natasha "Black Widow" Romanoff. That will soon be followed by a fourth, Avengers: Age of Ultron, in 2015. According to Total Film's new interview with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige (via Comic Book Movie), the much-anticipated sequel will feature a "very big" role for the character. What's more, he teases that a Black Widow solo film may be the next step for the character.

"We learn more about her past," Feige says of the Joss Whedon sequel, "and learn more about where she came from and how she became in that film. The notion of exploring that even further in her own film would be great, and we have some development work with that."

Of course, Black Widow is going to first have to make it through the events of The Winter Soldier, which Feige promises is a game-changer for the MCU.

"We wanted to change the dynamic of the cinematic universe with this film," Feige continues. "We wanted Cap and really the entire cinematic universe to be very different at the end of 'Winter Soldier' than it is at the beginning. Therefore, when we meet the Avengers at the top of 'Age of Ultron,' it's a very different landscape than we left them at the end of the first film. Partially that's because we love the rhythm that the comic books have developed. Each of the characters appear in their runs, occasionally they get together for a big event or crossover series, they part again, and then they come back together again."

Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015.

Wasn't Captain America 2 Amazing. I loved how it intertwined with the Agents of shield story too.

I need to see Guardians of the galaxy. I'm quite into Marvel comics. Read them for a long time. Fantastic Four and Avengers but to be honest, know very little about the people in this film, so will be nice to watch a marvel film I have not much idea about.

Guardians of the Galaxy was surprisingly brilliant! Absolutely LOVED it! Had some genuinely hilarious moments and followed a solid Marvel storyline. The tree (forget his name) was a gem!

This was on par with The Avengers for me :D

Is Howard the Duck just a running joke, or to celebrate the anniversary of the release of one of the biggest flops ever? Or are Marvel actually making a full Howard movie? :o :o

Also. Marvel released this retrospective which shows scenes from Phase 1 and now Phase 2.

GotG 2 has taken one of the perviously announced Marvel slots in 2017.

Last week, Marvel Studios surprised us all and dated five new films ranging all the way to 2019. Now, just announced at their Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has confirmed that one of these dates, July 28, 2017, belongs to Guardians of the Galaxy 2! James Gunn even took to Twitter following the announcement to reveal that he will return to pen the screenplay and direct the film.

And a photo of Josh Brolin, as Thanos. As seen in GotG and included in the Marvel Retrospective video:

Thranduil was Ronan Keating The Accuser :o #PushingDasies

I love the casting in the Marvel Universe. Glenn Close needs her own standalone film that ties in with her joining The Avengers 3. Could've done without Revenge in Captain America 2 tho.

Aw, I quite liked Revenge in Captain America 2. But then I like Revenge.

For me, one of the best casting choices has been Chris Hemsworth as Thor. He looks really similar to him in the comics and he's a Good actor who's showcased Thor is a quite exact way as regards the comics.

Although, I like Chris Evans, it annoys me how he plays Captain America but he's not blonde. It's a little thing but it does my head in, same thing for when he played The Human Torch. It's like he wants to make all the blonde superhero's, brown haired in the movies.
