Not sure how you can get another film if this follows H20, but excited anyway!!

Halloween, Halloween 2 and H20 are the only ones that were any good, Halloween still scares me all these years later

Not really, though Halloween 3 was the worst by a mile, it didn't even have Michael Myers in it

How are they going to get around killing her off in Resurrection?!

H20 was a brilliant film and should've ended the franchise perfectly, Resurrection was a really poor idea and I hate that they back-tracked on the beheading!

I forgot about Resurrectioin!! Then again I try to forget about most of the Halloween movies

They resurrected Ripley in the Alien franchise so they could make anything up really, though having Michael Myers still as the bad guy when he's old now seems a bit silly, perhaps they have some really cool idea they can use to somehow follow up H20 and Resurrection

Rumor has it they're gonna ignore everything that happened after Halloween 2.

That's for the best. Although I really liked H20.

It's not like they showed her dead in Resurrection. She could gave survived to go into hiding again.

I want her to finally kill him. Put a end to him.

They'll definitely ignore Resurrection and that's for the best I think as it was pretty bad, but I really liked H20. I do think Michael switching bodies at the end of H20 for Resurrection was a good idea though, but maybe that's just me

^^^ Michael is very smart. I want the film to focus more on his mentality. Maybe they can go deep into what is on his mind. I'd love for them to focus on the events after 2, and after he had been captured.

It was a smart thing but kinda disappointing. Like Halloween should have ended after H20. Laurie finally setting herself free and being able to live a life in peace and freedom. Thats what Jamie Lee Curtis wanted but there's actually a clause in the contract that says you cannot kill Michael Meyers. She has mentioned this in several interview.

So Michael is now a 61 year old man... unless he's Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone I'm not convinced he'll have the super-human abilities he used to.

If they ignore 20 I think that's a huge mistake.
It was a big hit AND one of the best in the franchise and introduced the series to whole new generation of horror fans.
Any writer worth their salt could write the way around her "death" in "Resurrection" and finally tie together the disparate storyline strands from 4,5 and 6 to make the franchise work canonically.
If they can make it work for a series like "Child's Play" then having someone who knows and is a fan of the series can make it work as one all encompassing story.
So ready for one last show down between Michael and Laurie.
Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet...

I agree.

But I really want Halloween to end here. If Michael is still the killer he needs to die. For real this time.

New 'Halloween' Movie Will Ignore All Sequels
- Previously co-writer Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down, Pineapple Express) said the film would follow the first 2 movies but expressed dislike in Michael Myers and Laurie Strode being siblings.
- John Carpenter has now said, "It picks up after the first one and it pretends that none of the others were made."
- Jamie Lee Curtis is set to return with Judy Greer possibly playing her daughter, Karen.
- No info revealed on how Laurie and Michael are reunited after 40 years but a small plot summary was released when Jamie Lee Curtis' return was announce: Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
- John Carpenter is rumored to be doing the movie's score.

That sucks. The first two are classics. I've also enjoyed 4,5, and H20.

Why not have het survive the stabbing in Resurraction??

The entire legacy is destroyed now if they only keep the 1st one.
