Gary Oldman was great but the movie was so boring.

I was in tears during the whole movie. I urge everyone to watch this drama.

Mesmerizing movie.
Beautifully done and never lost its charm despite being a 2 hours movie. However I felt this is a story told many many times already.

Just brilliant! Masterfully fools you and misleads you step by step as the events unfold when recounted in retrospect. Intense build-up with an unexpected final.
For fans of Mystery/Thriller type of films.
Thanks so much for posting this! It was excellent! Anyone who loves thrillers / crime movies needs to watch this!

Also the lead guy is really hot. :P

Really good indie gay film that was on Hulu. The lead actor is hot.

It‘s been a while since a horror movie got more than a cute little jump scare out of me, but this one did it. For the first hour or so it was like Blairwitch on steroids and without the stupid camera perspectives of a found footage. Towards the end it got a little ridiculous though.

Mudbound

Great movie, great casting. I hated the racist father, the actor who played him did a great job, too bad these characters still exist in real life though.

James Baldwin's brilliance knows no bounds. This was depressing, though. It's ghastly to consider how recent the civil rights movement in the US was, and it's disheartening to see just how little progress has truly been made.

Franklin’s music profoundly touched and changed the world, because over and over it offered that bridge to salvation, to freedom.

disappointing tbh, i liked it, but when it ended i just stood there like 'thats it?! :-? '

Image
nothing groundbreaking, a bit cheesy, but overall i liked it

Image
the thing i liked the most was how chill it is, the music, the colors,... a good movie, but yeah, nothing im gonna watch again

Image
nice, chill, great scenery, but too slow and i really wanted it to make me cry, but nothing, im yet to watch a gay movie that destroys me emotionally

Watch "Prayers for Bobby". It did that to me.

Also "Monster" (with Charlize Theron) is excellent too. It is about lesbians though.

How this movie didn’t scoop all the awards is beyond me. Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, Sally Hawkins, Charlotte Rampling and even Keira Knightley were all phenomenal. I mean, it’s depressing as hell but still great.

She's such an underrated actress, even with her status. She's fantastic. Have you seen Inland Empire? What are your thoughts on it if so? David Lynch is my favourite director, and I feel that Inland Empire is his most bloated film: it's a long one, and a difficult movie to enjoy and sit through. However, I do generally enjoy it on the whole and find it intriguing. I love analytical films.
