Justin should perform:

- Sexyback (opening)
- What goes around ... Comes around / Cry me a river
- My love
- N'sync reunion medley ("Tearing up my heart" / "Bye bye bye")
- Can't stop the feeling
- Mirrors (closing)

Nothing of any significance was uttered in the last two pages anyway (save one or two posts).

I hate "Rock your body" ... But cool if he performs it. He only has a few minutes to include some of his biggest hits, so I think "Sexyback", "Can't stop the feeling" and "What goes around" are totally on lock.

I listen to his stuff, I even own his stuff. But the fact that he always gets away is sad to me. Super bowl with Janet buried her commercial career. He has half the blame that he should share but society feels otherwise.

No one is disputing her current happiness btw
I refer to the recent video posted in the Random Thought thread

It’s just unfair that his career continues to flourish while someone like Janet has never recovered from her career losses

People here came to blame Justin for Janet's flop music carrer since All For You album and that "incident"?

She's guilty herself for her flops since then. She hasn't done since AFY album anything worthy of huge succes let's be honest!

And when it comes to that accessorised breast... you rlly think she didn't prepared that boob for public????? she was so ready and ready to see the world! I don't blame Justin... maybe he even knew her boob reveal plans... I don't even blame Janet. I don't see anything bad in nudity especially covered up.

Go away nipplepeople, leave boobs alone

He'll definitely sing the new single (if he releases one). I think he'll sing Rock Your Body and Sexyback. He might do a ballad maybe (Cry Me A River). Was Senorita a major hit in US? If so, he can do that one also. He will have guests i guess, let's hope he invites Madonna back for a 4 Minutes performance.

I was thinking about it too and I don't think it'll happen. Just too little time on stage and many songs to choose from and fit in the performance, so he may prefer to use the spot and time for one of his own songs instead. Madonna had her very own chance and she didn't include 4M neither invited Justin or anything, so now Justin has his chance and I'm not saying its impossible but I guess he would give priority to his own catalogue first rather than using a spot on someone else's repertoire.

I'm sure he has new music coming that will be part of the performance.

Seems like the album was going to be a Q4 release, but they decided to wait given this huge promotional platform. I'm thinking we'll get the lead single right after the first of the year, if not before, so we're familiar with it before the performance... and then the album will drop the Friday before the Super Bowl. That relationship wasn't ugly. They were in love and happy, that's why she wanted to have a child with him. When that changed they divorced, and that's it.

But pls stop generalizing and being obsessed with JanFam. I am her fan, as you can see, and I don't care about SB, while many people here who are pointing on injustice aren't her fans at all.

SB is not important anymore. It's good just for fans who will see their favorite performing but that's about it. People are moving from one thing to another so fast today. Few tweets and they forget it.

CNN: People of the world today, worry not: The NFL says Janet Jackson is not banned from the Super Bowl

When Justin Timberlake was announced Sunday as the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl LII, some people wondered whether Jackson had been snubbed.

After all, she and Timberlake were together for the infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, also known as Nipplegate. At Super Bowl XXXVIII, in 2004, Timberlake ripped away part of Jackson's costume, exposing one of her breasts to a TV audience of 140 million.
Jackson's spokesperson said it was an accident, and Timberlake apologized.

So when Timberlake was announced for next year's game, the internet lit up with questions about why Jackson wasn't invited.

"No ban, no," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said. He refused to comment on "any speculation regarding potential guests," and he said there may be no guests. Jackson's representatives did not return a request for comment.

McCarthy called Timberlake the "ultimate global superstar" who will put on an "entertaining and unifying show that will appeal to the massive worldwide audience."

The NFL has promoted a message of unity since President Trump began attacking players for kneeling during the National Anthem to protest racial injustice.

Jackson is on her State of the World tour, in which she's denounced white supremacy, prejudice and xenophobia. And she has long made social statements in her music. In "Rhythm Nation," released in 1989, she sang about breaking color lines and protesting social injustice.

This will be Timberlake's third Super Bowl appearance. He also performed at Super Bowl XXXV, in 2001, as part of *NSYNC.

CNN: Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson have both survived 'Nipplegate'

The internet still wants Justin Timberlake to apologize to Janet Jackson for Nipplegate, but it looks like she's doing just fine.

I actually feel bad for Justin. I was just reading all these articles focused on injustice and double standards, from Guardian to Independent to People. It's all about Janet and it won't end until that performance. As some would say: God have mercy! I just want to forget about it.

FORBES: 6 Things Forgotten About Justin Timberlake And Janet Jackson's Controversial Halftime Show

Yesterday, after weeks of speculation, Justin Timberlake was finally confirmed as the headliner for the upcoming 2018 Super Bowl halftime show by the show's longtime sponsor Pepsi. The halftime show will mark 14 years since he and fellow pop star Janet Jackson performed and he accidentally (at least that's what all involved have said for over a decade now) revealed part of Jackson's breast, causing perhaps the biggest controversy in the football game's history.

Nobody has forgotten about that, but there are plenty of details that aren't discussed much anymore, and now that he's on his way back, they are worth bringing back up again. Here are six tidbits about that infamous evening (and the months afterward) that may have slipped many people's minds.

It Was Justin’s Second Time Performing At The Halftime Show

While his time with Janet Jackson is the show everyone remembers, that performance was actually Timberlake’s second at the Super Bowl. Just three years prior, the singer had co-headlined the set with the group that made him a star, ‘N Sync. In 2001, they took to the biggest stage in the world to perform alongside Britney Spears, Nelly, Mary J. Blige and, oddly enough, Aerosmith. The boy band went through several hits, including their own tunes “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me,” and they later joined all the other artists for a rollicking rendition of Aerosmith's “Walk This Way.”

Justin And Janet Were Two Of Many Artists Performing

Justin and Janet are the two musicians spoken about most when the 2004 halftime show is referenced, but as is usually the case when it comes to the event, many massive figures took to the stage that evening. The performance also included P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock, in what was truly one of the most eclectic showings, at least when it came to genres represented. Janet’s headlining status was almost lost in the shuffle, as she only performed two of her own tracks, while others seemed to have more time on stage than she did.

That Moment Was The Inspiration For YouTube

“Nipplegate” might not feel like it was well over a decade ago to some, but it was way back in 2004. At the time, YouTube didn’t exist, so many of those who missed the talked-about slip didn’t get to actually see it for years. Jawed Karim explained that his feeling left out at having missed the biggest moment of the year on TV led to him co-founding YouTube, so that others wouldn’t go through the same thing he did.

The FCC Received Half A Million Complaints

In the days, weeks and months following the accident, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) received hundreds of thousands of complaints from people across the U.S. In fact, the government organization claims that more than 540,000 official complaints poured in, which still stands as the most regarding any one incident.

CBS Was Fined Half A Million Dollars, Though The Company Won In The End

After receiving that many complaints, the FCC was lobbed the largest fine it had ever attempted against a major network in history, asking CBS for $550,000. The channel eventually paid the full sum, but only to continue to fight it in court. The ensuing legal battle went on for years, and even after most Americans had moved on from the exposure, the two organizations were still going at it. Eventually, CBS won, and the company wasn’t required to pay that amount.

The Halftime Show Sponsor Wanted Its Money Back

While Pepsi currently has its brand splashed across all marketing connected to the Super Bowl halftime show, back in 2004, it was AOL that was one opening its checkbook for the privilege. After the wardrobe malfunction, it was reported that the internet company demanded a refund for the money it spent on sponsoring the event, which was reported to be about $7.5 million, though it’s not clear if any involved party, be it CBS, the NFL or MTV, ever paid up.

MTV Has Been Unofficially Banned From The Super Bowl

In the years since the wardrobe malfunction talked about all around the world, neither Justin or Janet has been back to the Super Bowl (though that is obviously set to change in just a few months), but others were also banned from the event as well. MTV, which was producing the staging for the first time, has also never been asked back, and while there wasn’t a formal ban announced, plenty of reports at the time suggested that at least when it came to those at CBS and the NFL, it was clear that they would never be requesting the services of the music-focused network again.
