In one month it outsold Lemonade, so you better bow down to the real Queen.

I don't see how Taylor's album is flopping considering it became the best selling album of 2017 in US with just two weeks on sale. Yes, it's not doing as good as 1989 did but if we go by that logic, you can call Lemonade a flop as well as it didn't sell as much as Self-titled did.

Witness is definitely a flop, a big one. While i admit that Katy was never a big album seller, the fact that Witness sold barely 280k copies in US with the help of ticket bundles shows how bad she is doing atm.

I read the ticket bundles account for over half the sales aswell so without them she was probably looking at numbers by artists like Lana, Lorde and Halsey

+1 in fact "Lemonade" is Queen B's lowest selling album.

Growing up in the 90s and early 00s, almost ever album is looking like a flop. But Forbes never listed what they consider a success. What is a successful album nowadays, because all of this shit looks bad?

Definitely.

And a flop =/= low sales. It's all about the impact.

Probably because it flopped so hard that they didn't even remember it existed.

Nelly Furtado - The Ride

After her 2012 album The Spirit Indescribable flopped
Never knew she released this B-sides album, must've flopped hard then
Looks like I found my way home

Witness was a flop yes - but it doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same paragraph as The Ride or Double Dutchess - both were completely flops while Witness was more of an underperforming rather than anything, "Chained" was a cute little hit and "Bon Appetite" & "Swiss Swiss" were at least very popular on YouTube while The Ride and Double Dutchess literally spawned zero hits in 2017.

Witness isn't exactly one of the biggest flops of 2017, neither is Younger Now.

"Look What You Made Me Do" broke the internet as much as "Formation" did, just in different aspects. Please stop with the biased opinion.

I get the pushback on Witness, but Younger Now? That is one of the biggest flops of all-time, surely?!

I didn't really follow the stats for Younger Now, I really thought it did decent on the charts, didn't it? I just remember "Malibu" being a decent hit though with everyone praising it.

It’s probably sold 150,000 copies worldwide actual units, maybe less (75k in the US).

But did anyone with a right mind expected a hit single from an independent Nelly Furtado in 2017, after a Greatest Hits and The Spirit Indestructible both flopping, and taking 5 years to release The Ride? Nothing about the project suggested that she tried to come for a chart topping album and/or singles. Literally 99% of the indie artists could be considered flops if you just simply look at numbers, but it's not like those albums are made with the intent to actually be huge. And Nelly didn't had a global hit since basically 2007

I get there were expectations for Fergie, but for Nelly?

Oh I didn't know Nelly was indie. I guess that explained everything. I was too lazy to read the whole paragraph.

Witness underperformed but I wouldn't call it a flop...it did ok in the current climate. It just showed that she has no power outside her basic bops.

even Elusive Chanteuse sold more (125k soundscan - rounded).

Mylay shoveled her own grave by being nasty towards the queen. Also demi flopped. The world was upside down once, now it is back in balance and will continue to spin in the correct direction.

The pop girls died in 2017 - all of them.

Except for Taylor Swift... all female pop albums flopped bitterly hard.

This year will bring forth the truth about pop music with Céline, Madonna and Mariah releasing new music.

2018 will be a return to the 1990s nostalgia - bookmark my premonition. I smell diamond certification left, right and centre.
