Will Taylor Swift's new tour gross $500m? Apparently so.

Taylor's camp came out to damage control by posting that after this information came out today:

Apparently there are rumors that her show isn't selling that well (or as expected), as soon as this came out once again Taylor's camp came out to over hype and post non-sense stuff just like they said "Reputation" was going to sell 2m on first week.

$500m. Of course.
Coldplay made it because they've been touring non stop since early 2016.
I guess we'll see but I don't believe it.

Celine' s residency is not a tour. Remove from list.

Hence I included (residency) next to it.

Not having the debate anyway, it remains in the list - money is money.

I feel this list will look hella different, between now and 10 years.
Tickets prices rise rapidly, so if a popular act tours, and plan their tour smartly, they basically can outgross certain acts of the top 10 for sure.

The list will definately change a lot in the future years. And Both Beyonce and Taylor are definately knocking down of the Top Madonna and Celine as the biggest female grossing acts ever in a non too distant future.

In fairness Madonna’s record is there to be broken and what’s interesting is most of the top 10 female tours are from the last 10 years. If Taylor can truly sell enough tickets to gross half a billion then fair play to her - although I’m not sure she’s at the peak of her popularity at the moment.

I don't think Reputation Tour will do as good as 1989. She'll do great in US but i'm not sure about overseas.

Billboard: Despite Negative Press, Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour Could Be One of the Biggest of All Time

Ticket sales could approach the half-billion dollar range as slower, steadier sales with higher returns replace sellouts as the barometer for success

Taylor Swift is on track to chart one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, with projections that she could sell $450 million worth of tickets on her Reputation stadium tour which kicks off this summer.

Swift is using a strategy deployed by Jay-Z and bands like The Rolling Stones -- price tickets high and have seats available on the primary market up until the day of show. That means few, if any, early sellouts but huge revenues, as tickets, especially premium seats, are marked up much higher than previous tours. While several recent stories have warned of poor ticket sales -- including a New York Post article this morning -- those close to Swift say the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer sold $180 million worth of tickets in the first seven days of sales -- that’s four days of sales through the Verified Fan platform and three days of sales to the general public that began Dec. 13. Swift is planning to add eight more shows to the North American leg of her tour for a total of 41 shows, with double, and in some cases triple, visits to major cities.

It's not that Taylor gets $500m, she will be lucky to earn 10% of the whole thing (before taxes)

She’d probably see beteeen 30-40% of the $500m after all is said and done.

And don’t forget, $500m is the value of the ticket sales - it doesn’t include the money earned from merchandise, album sales at the event or anything else.

Don't think so, it's not like she's doing an acoustic tour by herself :D

Numbers are high but nothing surprising about that as most big tours sell out in hours.

I think they're over-hyping the tour to sell more tickets. Smart team.

Beyonce fans don't care what anyone else gross. We just hope Bey does good.

They won't because she grossed $250m with just 48 dates with Formation World Tour. The moment Beyoncé will decide to do an actual world tour (visiting every continent  ), she'll easily outgross Taylor.
