Take part in the poll created, selecting people mentioned on this thread as well as other online pages asking people to vote who next years halftime performer should be 8-)

If the person/band you think should perform is not listed, select "other" and post their name here!

If they wanna go back to older acts, if Bon Jovi haven't played the Superbowl before, I think that would be a pretty good choice. Jon's voice isn't as good as it used to be, but he's still pretty good running at about 80% of what he used to do.

Where is Tori Kelly on the poll when she literally has appeared in every TV show with no hit singles?

Kidding. I'm voting for Kendrick, though I'm okay with P!nk, Rih or J. Lo. Kanye could definitely put on a great show but it's too risky to have him on live TV. You'll never know what he's gonna do.

Adele will be fun too watch though. Knowing her history with TV performances, it's definitely gonna have some 'technical difficulties'.

From the list I'd go with:
1. Taylor Swift
2. P!nk
3. Rihanna
4. JLO

A big NO to the rest, especially Britney and Kendrick.

Why all these pop stars. If they brought Journey with the original lead singer, that would be record breaking. Plus Journey has STADIUM songs.

yea... god forbid the Super Bowl Halftime Show actually cater to a demographic besides millennial pop fans, right?

Journey is one of the biggest bands of all time and their songs are still played to death on radio, I mean, how dare they actually try and court someone besides pop fans under 30.

Their Greatest Hits album has sold 17x in the US and their album Escape has gone diamond. Don't Stop Believin', Open Arms (you may know this since Mariah covered it), Separate Ways, Any Way You Want It, Lights, etc... are all radio staples. Wake up and realize there's actually a whole world of music besides divas and modern pop. Journey actually make sense as a Halftime headline act with the volume of hits behind them and the ability to court a crowd who may feel left out by all the millennial pandering.

This past decade or so they've been going with a lot of pop stars, hence the options which I combined from a Billboard and some other article that had people voting

Personally, Journey in 2018 isn't worth going to see live.... Steve Perry (the lead singer, basically the Freddie Mercury to Journey) retired like 20 years ago and Jonathan Cain is a huge Donald Trump supporter., But I do think they oughta go for something different and a little less currently relevant even if it ::::gasp:::: may not be at the cusp of millennial pop culture. AC/DC would've been nice a few years ago but now it's too late, it's over for those guys since the bassist died, the lead singer had to retire or risk going deaf and the drummer's had a lot of legal woes. I mean, say what you want to about their music, but it definitely is stadium music that would get a crowd going, and plus more male-friendly (after all, who watches the most football?) than the female pop stars that will make their girlfriends and the gheys turn in for 20 mins.
