that happened to me some days ago. It seems you can only post as much as 140 posts a week (20 per day). So when a post becomes 7 days old, it'll be out of that number...so post a little less.( thats the answer i got when i made this same question)

I'm constantly on my posting quota. You get used to it, though. You just have to prioritize what you post. :)

I've noticed that if you edit a post, as far as the posting quota is concerned that counts as another post - which is a bit unfair if you ask me.

Yes, me too I'm always on my posting quota (at this time, 127/140)... Like you say, it's without any doubt, for to limit the spammers and to oblige the members at look out for the quality of the posts...

Maybe they could put it a bit higher? 180-200, some weeks I post loads and others not much. If you post say, 76 posts in a week and 140 the next you should be able to carry over your posts!

I'm pretty sure that it counts the edit as one post, BUT when you next make a unique post, it counts that as the same number as the edit so you DONT lose out..

I don't think it does. I'll test it now.

This is my edit. I was 123/140, I am now 124/140.

And at least it stops people from banging on about how many posts they've made (and other post-count related junk) at every possible opportunity.

Oh wait...
