Of course the "new normal" for album sales is more like 80-85%, so MJB's 77% drop is pretty good in that regard.

^^ Yes (obviously) :D
But what did trigger the SPS numbers? The album was issued one year ago. .
Billboard Latin Awards 2017 aftermath? The Bieber "Sorry (Latino Remix)" single? Did J Balvin's "Energia" fall below 1,000 units and streams assigned to this album?

CHART STORY: LINKIN SEES THE LIGHT

Warner Bros.’ Linkin Park has debuted at the top of the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart, earning an impressive 100k+ with One More Light and inching just past TDE/Aftermath/Interscope’s Kendrick Lamar, whose DAMN. pulled in north of 96k in its sixth week out.

The week’s other noteworthy bow belongs to Big Machine’s Rascal Flatts; the band’s tenth studio album, Back to Us, comes in at #11 with 28k.

As for significant moves, Drake’s More Life (YMCMB/Republic) returns to the Top 5, going #6-4 with 55k in its 10th week out. The Quality Control-repped Migos—the red-hot trio, who recently signed a deal to release future music through Motown/Capitol—sees their Culture jump #18-12 with nearly 28k. Migos are currently featured on Calvin Harris’ “Slide” (along with Frank Ocean), which is Top 10 at Pop radio, #3 at Rhythm radio and Top 5 on the Shazam U.S. chart at press time. They’re also featured on Lil Yachty’s buzzing new single “Peek A Boo” and Katy Perry’s “Bon Appetit,” and Quavo (one of the threesome) is on DJ Khaled’s smash, “I’m the One” (along with Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne)—#3 on iTunes and Top 10 at Pop and Rhythm radio at press time. He’s also on the Post Malone hit “Congratulations” and Liam Payne’s debut solo single, “Strip That Down.”

Speaking of Post Malone, the Republic rapper’s Stoney moves #19-16. The aforementioned single—currently priced at 69 cents at iTunes—just went Top 10 at Rhythm radio, while charting at Pop. On a related note, we will be “stoney” for the entirety of Memorial Day Weekend, and by that we mean we already are.

RCA’s alternative R&B newcomer Khalid, who’s also having a real moment right now, can celebrate his breakout set, American Teen, bounding #23-18 with around 25k in its 12th week out. Khalid is featured on Logic’s much-talked-about “1-800-273-8255” and Calvin Harris’ “Rollin”—now #9 on Shazam’s Future Hits chart.

Meanwhile, fans continue to mourn the loss of rock icon Chris Cornell by listening to his music. On the Album Sales Chart, Soundgarden’s Superunknown (A&M) moves #21-16 and Epic’s special Singles soundtrack re-issue—presented in honor of the 25th anniversary (which was already scheduled to come out before the news of Cornell’s passing broke)—appears at #17. Audioslave’s self-titled (another Epic release) can be found at #27, Cornell’s Songbook (UMe) re-enters at #29 and Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger (A&M) rounds out the Top 30.

An appreciation for Cornell’s music is also reflected on the SPS chart, though not as intensely. There, Soundgarden’s Superunknown is #20 with 22k and Audioslave is #34 with 15k.

UMG leads the SPS marketshare battle with 48%, WMG is #2 with 26%, SME follows with 24% and the indies have 2%.

Streeting this week is Bryson Tiller’s True to Self (TrapSoul/RCA), which surprisingly dropped essentially a month before its previously announced release date (6/23), as well as Lil Yachty’s debut QC/Motown/Capitol full-length and a special new edition of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (also out via Capitol).
