SixOClockBoos wrote:Hello everyone, I'm looking for the Bubbling Under charts for the first six months of 1964. Looking back, I see there was a spreadsheet containing the bubbling under charts that covers that period of time, but the file is unavailable. If anyone can help me obtain these charts, I'd most be grateful.

It's me again.

According to the legendary Hanboo, this is the chartrun for following album:

CHERRY PINK & APPLE BLOSSOM WHITE - Harmonicats
Date: 24/04/1961 - Run: 133-*129* (2 wks)

But according to Billboard Magazines, this album appears to be in the EI list for week ending March 20, 1961 and debuting at #17 for week ending March 27, 1961.

The album strangely disappears from the whole Mono Top 150 Albums in the next first three weeks of April (when the full chart start to be compiled) and re-enters for those two weeks Hanboo listed.

Can anyone confirm which is the complete and correct chartrun for this album?

Thanks guys!

Hi,

It was indeed 17 on the Action Albums for 27 March 1961. However, on 3 Apr Billboard printed an entire Top 150 with last week positions and so I (and Hanboo) listed those as the correct positions for 27 March 1961.

Joel Whitburn lists the album as entering on 27 March, peaking at 17, and charting for 4 weeks. I'm not sure where week 4 appears from. Peak of 17 I get from taking the chart of 27 Mar rather than the 3 Apr last week positions. However, 4 weeks only work if you have the record entering on 20 March. I think it's explained by a note at the front of the book - Joel only takes weeks charted from the EI chart, not entries date or peak pos.

I have 20 Mar 1961 - 2 weeks EI. Then the run as Hanboo.

Hope that helps.

It does help, definitely.

I think Joel counts also the EI lists, exactly as I do, which I think it's correct because at that time the EI were actually albums charting in what would have become the Top 150. The only difference was not giving the album the exact chart position.

So it's EI-17-0-0-0-133-129, I assume.

Thanks again! :D

Does anyone have both the weekly Alternative Digital Song Sales charts from when the chart first started until now and the year-end charts for the Alternative Digital Song Sales?

They are available but that's a huge request. About 300 charts. Maybe somebody already has them to pass on as a file. Would take me several hours. Don't mind a say 10 a week.
