Record World on www.americanradiohistory.com is definitely a work in progress. Just added a few more issues today, and found some more in eBay and at a bookseller. So check back occasionally, as I'll be adding more issues as I get them. Also look at the expanding collection of Music Business from the 60's.

[B] The issue date 16 Feb 2013 - It has the issue dated 9th Feb shown for this date.

I really appreciate your job, I found so many articles about the Brazilian Music Movement in the early years and specially in the 80's as well. It's a pity that they stopped in 1981. The Hit Parade Chart was very helpful to create this chart. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=122617

Do you know if is there any other magazine that continued their job?

I am not aware of any international magazine with charts. I have an interest in charts from Mexico, Spain and Argentina most of the publications that had charts are hard to find and generally did not last for extended periods of time. None of those countries had the equivalent of Mario di Luigi's great Musica & Dischi in Italy!

Billboard or Cash Box: Which magazine was more reliable in the 60's? I'm so amazed with all charts i had found so far, but i've been encountered lists from Billboard and Cash Box for the same week in Brazil however with different number ones, actually with a completely different Top10. While Billboard used to published only the Top10, Cash Box had weekly articles and the Top20 Singles, Top10 LP's and Double Packs... Idk what to do or which one to consider as official / more reliable. Help me guys.

I was running stations in South America in the 60's, and traveled a lot to get music "exclusives" from different countries. i think Cash Box was better, but the real issue is that the reporting sources were not precise... and Top 30 "hit based" radio did not arrive in South America until the mid-60's.

Hello. I would like to say "thank you" for uploading some new, quite rare issues of the "Music & Media" magazine. Still, I think there are few pages in each (maybe not every) newspaper missing. For example, in year 1989 the very informative section "Highlights" suddenly dissapeared, but I have a suspicion it is in those pages, which are currently missing. Can someone please confirm this? Who is the source of the "Music & Media" magazine publishment in "Americanradiohistory.com" website, if it is not a secret?

Because every issue has the page number in most of the pages is easy to know if there are some pages missing. Can you tell us a specific issue of 1989 where you have this doubt?

I've checked n.6 - 11 feb 1989. There is the number in almost all of the pages from page 1 until page 36. There are exactly 36 pages in the pdf, so no one page is missing.

Quick heads-up:
Have made some 4 GB of Billboard magazines available to American Radio History.
Expect to have years 2014 and 2015 up and running on the site very shortly.
[ Thanks @radiodavid ]

What about other issues? Or is there any explanation for the stoppage of the "highlights" section?

I don't know why they have stopped the highlights section.
But, looking at some different issues, in different months, it seems that no one page is missing.

I believe that it is still currently available from the website of the man himself.

https://www.recordresearch.com/billboard_chart_collections/billboard_hot100_charts_the_eighties.php

In fact, the only book not available is his original 1955-1959 chart collection and the 2000's charts.

Are some of the issues with part I, the year end charts? Im assuming that's the case with Dec 19, 1960.

Yes. I called Wednesday morning at 9am. Was in my mailbox Saturday morning! It's expensive. $96, but worth it.

It's great because most of the Billboard issues linked here are missing the Hot 100 page.

Hi guys! I've noticed there are no pages 78 and 79 from the billboard issue november 9, 1996, with the video monitor missing. I'd like to know if there's a way to find them. Thanks!
