Plus there are 12 more new albums heading for this week's albums Top 40, including The Corrs, Bradley Walsh and Seal.

Taylor Swift’s ‘reputation’ on the Official Chart is set to become even more glowing this week as she sets course for her third Number 1 album.

The singer-songwriter’s sixth studio album is leading the way on today’s Official Chart Update and could exceed 100,000 sales this week, currently at just over 65,000 three days after it went on sale.

Taylor is all-but-certain to make it a hat-trick of Number 1 albums in the UK, following 2012’s Red and 2014’s 1989.

Reputation is currently outselling its closest competitor, Sam Smith’s The Thrill Of It All, by more than double. The album, which claimed the top spot last week, drops to Number 2.

Meanwhile, British rock band Shed Seven could claim their highest charting album yet this week as their fifth studio album, Instant Pleasures, starts at Number 3 on today’s update, while Michael Ball & Alfie Boe’s Together Again (4) and Roy Orbison’s A Love So Beautiful (5) round out the Top 5.

New entries and high climbers
Three more albums are on course to debut inside the Top 10 on this week’s Official Albums Chart: Tears For Fears’s Rule The World – The Greatest Hits is at 6, Elton John best of Diamonds is at 7, and The Corrs could earn their seventh Top 10 album with their new collection Jupiter Calling (10).

Cliff Richard is set to claim his 63rd Top 40 album with retrospective Stronger Thru The Years currently at 13, while Evanescene’s fourth collection Synthesis (14), Bradley Walsh’s When You’re Smiling (15) and Seal’s Standards (16) are all eyeing at Top 20 placing.

Further down, the Kidz Bop Kids 2018 collection opens at 25, a special 25th anniversary edition of REM’s Automatic For The People starts at 28, actor/TV presenter/singer Shane Richie is set to claim his first Top 40 album with A Country Soul currently at 29, and remastered box set of Metallica’s 1986 album Master Of Puppets is at 30.

Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Is Dominating the U.K.'s Midweek Chart
http://www.billboard.com/articles/colum ... week-chart
11/14/2017 by Lars Brandle

Taylor Swift’s reputation for dominating the U.K. albums chart should remain intact when the latest survey is published.

Swift’s sixth studio album Reputation (EMI) is heading for the summit of the Official U.K. Albums Chart, having sold more than 65,000 units in its first three days since release, according to the Official Charts Company. Chart analysts say Reputation could exceed 100,000 sales in week one, good enough for gold certification.

Reputation currently sits at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart Update and is outselling its nearest competitor, Sam Smith’s The Thrill of it All (Capitol), by a ratio of 2:1. The U.S. singer-songwriter’s LP is “all-but-certain” to make it a hattrick of No. 1 albums in the U.K., notes the OCC, following 2012’s Red and 2014’s 1989.

Elsewhere on the midweek survey, Britpop-era act Shed Seven is on track for its highest charting album with Instant Pleasures (Infectious Music), their fifth studio set which starts at No. 3, while Michael Ball & Alfie Boe’s Together Again (Decca) and Roy Orbison’s A Love So Beautiful (Sony Music CG) with the The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra respectively complete the top 5.

Meanwhile, a trio of albums are on track to bow inside the top 10 as Tears For Fears’ Rule The World – The Greatest Hits (EMI) appears at No. 6, Elton John’s hits compilation Diamonds (Mercury/UMC) arrives at No. 7, and The Corrs’ seventh effort Jupiter Calling (Rhino) is at No. 10. Veteran British hitmaker Cliff Richard should snag his 63rd top 40 album with Stronger Thru The Years (Rhino), his retrospective collection which sits at No. 13.

On the Official Singles Chart Update, Camila Cabello's “Havana” (Epic/Syco Music) faces a stiff challenge from Rita Ora and Eminem, all of whom who shared the stage at the 2017 MTV EMAs, held Sunday (Nov. 12) night in London.

Cabello’s “Havana” featuring Young Thug is chasing a third week at the top with Rita Ora’s “Anywhere” (Atlantic) at No. 2 -- and 2,000 combined units adrift -- while Post Malone’s “Rockstar” (Republic Records) featuring 21 Savage dips 2-4 and Eminem’s comeback track “Walk On Water” (Interscope) featuring Beyonce gets a fast start at No. 4.

They are counting the ISRC based on the album UPC for streams? This means ISRCs from non-album products aren't counted for the album charts? Sorry, but did we actually know that all the time? I just knew this from Germany, not from the UK ...

Looking at the Album chart rules it appears that your interpretation is correct but the UK chart rules are almost deliberately vague in places that it is difficult to confrm this with 100% accuracy... but certainly a quick read through the rules seems to confirm what you have posted.

Paloma Faith's 'The Architect' Blasts Past Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' On Midweek U.K. Chart
https://www.billboard.com/articles/colu ... week-chart
11/21/2017 by Lars Brandle

Taylor Swift’s reign over the U.K. albums chart could come to a swift end as Paloma Faith takes the lead on the midweek survey.

With first-week sales of 84,000, Swift last week scored her third consecutive U.K. No. 1 album with Reputation, though the LP takes a sharp dive to No. 7 on the Official U.K. Chart Update as a trio of new releases set up a roadblock at the chart summit, led by Faith’s The Architect.

Faith could draw down her first No. 1 with The Architect (RCA), her fourth studio set, which has an advantage of 4,000 combined chart sales over its nearest rival, Morrissey's Low In High School (BMG) at No. 2 (Faith’s previous two albums, A Perfect Contradiction and Fall To Grace, both peaked at No. 2).

Coming in at No. 3 on midweek data is Our Generation, the debut effort from Britain's Got Talent champ Tokio Myers (Syco Music), while Sam Smith’s former chart leader The Thrill Of It All (Capitol) slips 2-4 and Jeff Lynn’s ELO opens at No. 5 with the live recording Wembley or Bust (RCA).

Thirteen new entries crack the midweek top including recordings from Iron Maiden, Tom Chaplin, Leading Ladies and Sia, plus retrospective releases from Green Day, Madness and Phil Collins.

After three weeks ruling the Official U.K. Singles Chart, Camila Cabello's "Havana" (Epic/Syco) edges Rita Ora's “Anywhere” (Atlantic) at the halfway point. Just 2,000 streaming equivalent sales and downloads separate the two tracks, according to the Official Charts Company.

Crybaby made #7 on sales and I think #2 on airplay so pre-streaming it would've looked like a hit. She's not a streaming artist clearly.

Sadly Guilty did nothing even after her X Factor performance.

Next week is Now or Never for Anywhere. She’s doing amazing, the problem is the second version of Havana in the Top40.

Anywhere
#1 iTunes (Havana 8.400)
#2 Apple Music
#4 Spotify
#7 YouTube

I hope during the weekend she gets the number one on AM.

27 Matt Terry - Trouble *

:o

First X Factor winner to miss the Top 10 with their debut album. (Well, Louisa hasn't even released an album).
Poor Matt... I haven't listened to the full album yet, but he doesn't deserve to flop like that.

He shouldn't have released an album in Q4 without a hit single...

Great sales for Noel, he probably won’t be more than 20k off Liam.

Noel Gallagher is off to a flying start this week as his new album, Who Built The Moon?, is heading for Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

The rock star’s third record with his High Flying Birds band leads the way on today’s Official Chart Update, notching up 57,000 across physical, digital and streaming equivalent sales in its first three days on sale.

Both NGHB albums debuted at Number 1 upon their release with impressive first-week sales. 2015’s Chasing Yesterday shifted 89,000 in week 1, while their self-titled record in 2011 sold 122,500 in its opening week.

Their closest competition for this week’s top spot comes from Little Mix, who are at Number 2 with a new Platinum Edition of their latest album Glory Days. The album, which has so far logged five weeks at Number 1, zooms 44 places to Number 2 in today’s update.

Meanwhile, Sam Smith’s The Thrill Of It All drops from 2 to 3, a deluxe edition of Elvis Presley’s Christmas album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra zooms from outside the Top 100 to Number 4, and Michael Ball & Alfie Boe’s Together Again slips from 3 to 5.

New entries and high climbers
Two new albums have their sights set on the Top 10 this week: Violinist Andre Rieu starts at Number 6 with his latest collection Amore, and rock band Elbow are at 10 with their new retrospective, The Best Of.

Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell is set to claim his 36th Top 40 record on the Official Chart with Christmas With…, currently at 13, while the debut album from Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke, From The Top, opens at Number 20.

Further down, Bjork’s ninth album Utopia is at 21, Pointless host Alexander Armstrong is at 24 with his third album In A Winter Light, and Frank Turner’s Songbook - a career-spanning selection of Turner’s biggest tracks including new versions of older material, starts at 25.

Finally, the debut album from X Factor winner Matt Terry, Trouble, is at 27, and ELO’s 1977 album Out Of The Blue heading back to the Official Albums Chart following its special vinyl release, currently at 40.

It is now a three-horse race for the Official Singles Chart top spot as currently leader Camila Cabello takes on Rita Ora and Ed Sheeran for this week’s Number 1.

Camila’s Havana ft. Young Thug leads the Official Chart Update today, but just 200 combined chart sales (downloads and streams) separate Havana and Rita Ora’s Anywhere, at 2, meaning the chart’s leading ladies are closer than ever before.

Just behind them at Number 3 is Ed Sheeran with Perfect. The song, which he performed on The X Factor last weekend, debuted at Number 4 on the chart back in March following the release of Ed’s third album ÷, and could reach a new peak this week. A remix of the song with a mystery guest collaborator will be released this Friday.

Completing today’s Official Chart Update Top 5 are Marshmello and Khalid with Silence, down one slot to Number 4, and Big Shaq’s Man’s Not Hot, which gains ground of one placing to Number 5.

New entries and high climbers
Fresh from an X Factor semi-finals performance, James Arthur’s new single Naked is set to be this week’s highest new entry, currently at Number 6, ahead of another potential new Top 10 entry – Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels’ I Miss You is up four places today to Number 7. Also hoping to secure a Top 10 position for the first time in his 20-plus year career, is MK, who rises six to Number 10 with 17.

First impacting the Top 100 seven weeks ago, Holy Mountain by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is on course for a Top 40 debut this week at Number 22, helped along by the release of a 12-inch picture disc vinyl version. One spot behind them at Number 23 are Craig David and Bastille with their new collaboration I Know You, which they performed on last week’s Sounds Like Friday Night.

Mariah Carey’s seasonal ascent up the Top 40 looks to continue, as All I Want For Christmas Is You has so far climbed seven places this week to Number 27. From a chart regular to potential newcomers, South Korean boyband BTS could net their first UK Top 40 hit this Friday with Mic Drop at Number 30.

There’s more Christmas spirit at Number 34 as Wham! climb 47 rungs with Last Christmas, and finally, Little Mix’s Glory Days: The Platinum Edition track Is Your Love Enough? could mark their 19th Top 40 appearance at Number 37.

Really bad for Bjork. Might even chart lower than Selma Songs (Dancer In The Dark OST). :o
There are better tracks on the album than the 2 not-very-instant singles.

Busy period of course makes things look more bad.
