Thanks a lot for opening the topic, and for posting all these updates everytime, oldbloke! You're doing a fantastic job on here!

I'm glad Billboard still publishes sales charts for the genre charts. I was afraid that it could be even more difficult to get pure sales estimations...

I think Honeymoon reached 250,000 pure album sales by the end of last year.

Ultraviolence sold 450,000 by the end of 2014. I'd guess another 30,000 or so since then.

I hope posters here realize that estimating SPS numbers is almost impossible.

The album sales chart leaks each week, but the Hot Digital Songs does not leak. Neither does overall streaming numbers. That's 2 missing charts out of the 3 that are used to compile SPS numbers.

It's pretty easy to estimate SPS for albums charting weekly on Billboard 200. #100-#200 on Billboard 200 always do 4-5K units rounded. The other positions vary, but are easy to figure out. Example -- If in the Billboard 200 Chart Moves article that week, the #60 album did 7K and the #80 album did 5K, then it's safe to say an album around #70 did 6K.

I used to do estimates, but then got too lazy. Thankfully oldbloke is so persistent. 8-)

The most difficult thing about YTD SPS estimated totals is the TEA/SEA from before the album release.

The Migos album is a good example - 131K SPS in week 5 when the album came out, but already had around 80K equivalent album sales from the B&B track in the first 4 weeks of the year.

Ed Sheeran's "÷" has already racked up around 150K in EAS even though the album itself won't debut until week 10.
