Wow, what a great year of new wave for 1982 for me. But I have to wait for my second new wave year, 1983.
I had to wait for one of my favorite new wave track, "Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo. Too Shy was in the Billboard Hot 100 top 5 during summer of 1983 before Taco peaked for his first and only Top 40 with this.
In case of what LostAvenger posted about the songs during the first ten years of CMJ, I have only one question that I selected the new wave acts to considered for the forthcoming and future entries:
Are General Public, Love and Rockets, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Thomas Dolby, Midnight Oil, The Church, Big Country, Sinéad O’Connor, The Psychedelic Furs, Go-Go's, The Alarm, The Smithereens, Romeo Void, Men Without Hats, Tracy Chapman, Echo & the Bunnymen, XTC, Morrissey, The Cult, Hoodoo Gurus, Timbuk3, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Violent Femmes, Kate Bush, Greg Kihn Band, The Housemartins, Bronski Beat, The Fixx, The Thompson Twins, The Stray Cats, Madness, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, The Style Council, Ultravox, The Icicle Works, Los Lobos, Katrina and the Waves, Modern English, Squeeze, and Edie Brickell & New Bohemians considered to be the next entries?
