So what's Jennifer Lopez total so far with today's figures?
Around 78 million, if I'm not wrong? Which will put her at #5.

When are you planning to update the 1st page graphics, Wayne?

Thanks!

^ Tonight, all being well - that’s what prompted the above post, skipped the March update (like to try and do this every 3 months).

Las Vegas - The Modern Era
(Updated Numbers - June 2018)

Image

Image

If you post these numbers on social media or across other forums, please credit back to UKMIX/this topic.

* Celine had an additional show as part of 2003-2007 residency, a charity show - not included in the tally as the boxscore wasn't reported.

+ Donny and Marie's residency isn't fully including all dates, due to scarce reporting prior to 2014 - their figure includes full year grosses for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 YTD - their residency initially began in 2008 and is therefore missing 6 full year's of detail. Assuming it grossed a similar average figure in those years, it is likely that the show is missing around $46 million in ticket sales which would mean it's grossed around $78 million.

Britney Spears to return to Las Vegas for £380,000 ($500,000) per show

Image

Star offered new megabucks deal to bring back her residency in 2019 meaning she'll be highest-paid woman on the Strip, beating Celine Dion

Oops, she’s done it again. Britney Spears is in hush-hush multi-million dollar talks to return to Las Vegas – and she won’t have to sing every note.

The pop princess, 36, is poised to ditch her famous Planet Hollywood home for a new venue with a deal “worth more than Celine Dion’s pay packet”.

The star and her team are in advanced talks with The Park Theater at The Monte Carlo to come back in 2019 – which will tie in with the 21st anniversary of her debut hit Hit Me Baby One More Time.

She’s set to rake in $500,000 (£380,000) per show, starting with an initial two-year run, making her the highest-paid woman on the Strip.

It comes as Vegas insiders say that Caesars Entertainment bosses decided not to renew her deal at Planet Hollywood after a four-year run for her Piece Of Me residency, where she was banking $400,000 (£303,000) a show.

Now her handlers feel that with her astonishing success she should command even more.

And MGM, which owns the Park and has Cher, Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin on their roster, will “show her the money”.

I wonder if anyone buys into those "hyped up" articles.

It makes a great headline: "she'll get paid more than even Celine Dion" - but let's have a bit of a reality check here; a woman with a sell-out rate of less than 85% for her last residency across 4 years does not get a pay rise, let alone get paid more than a woman who's performed at no less than 97% across two residencies across 15 years.

Also, that article cites her Piece of Me residency salary as $400,000 per show - I thought we'd been told it was $471,000 per show?

The economics just make no sense - I bet we'll get the same when Lady Gaga starts, we had the same when Mariah Carey started and we've got it here with Britney.

2 Jennifer Lopez Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, Nev. June 6, 8-9, 14-16, 2018 $4,108,431 21,478 / 24,463 6 / 0 $412, $214, $164, $54 Caesars Entertainment/Live Nation

48 Donny & Marie The Showroom at The Flamingo Las Vegas, Nev. June 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 2018 $649,631 7,152 / 10,438 15 / 0 $283, $136, $119, $104 Caesars Entertainment

That takes Jennifer Lopez to $83,101,185 from 105 shows - her per show average continues to fall, as the latter half of this residency has been significantly weaker than the first half - she's selling significantly fewer tickets, though the average ticket price seems to remain relatively steady (with the most recent leg still markedly higher than any other residency at $191.28).

She has just 15 more shows, scheduled to run in September - assuming they gross a similar per show rate as the most recent leg, her residency is likely to finish with around $93.3 million grossed (a long way short of $100 million).

Hi Wayne. Thanks for collecting all this data, very interesting.

I was wondering if you included the four shows that Jennifer Lopez performed on Feb. 21, 23, 24, and 28 of 2018. Do you know if Billboard reported the Box Score for those days, the beginning of the 2018 Leg?

I have two dates reported (Feb. 21 & 23) - were there definitely a further two? I have this for Jennifer:

If there are definitely two other dates missing, I'll do some extrapolating and estimate the numbers (alternatively, they may have been reported to Pollstar).

15 Rod Stewart The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Nev. June 12, 15-16, 19, 22, 29-30, 2018 $3,513,108 25,962 / 28,725 7 / 3 $250, $165, $99, $69, $49 AEG/Caesars Entertainment

That brings Rod Stewart: The Hits to an end, with no more shows scheduled. He will exit Vegas as the 7th highest-grossing residency act of the modern era, with the 9th highest grossing residency (though if my previous estimates are right for Donny & Marie, he is the 8th highest-grossing residency act with the 10th highest-grossing residency).

* Totals estimated by total known gross divided by number of shows.
** Totals estimated by total known gross divided by number of shows.
*** Total estimated by total known gross of leg 13 + total known gross of leg 15 divided ny number of shows which gives an average per show date that determines the leg 14 gross.

Thanks for answering, I see you reported Feb. 21 & 23. I understand she had 2 more shows in Feb. (the 24th and the 28th). I've seen pictures and videos of her performances for those days. But I don't have any data to probe that.

I can see a couple of YouTube uploads for the 25th Feb. but nothing for the 28th.

Did these shows definitely take place? Seems odd that just those 2 out of 105+ weren't reported...

I don't understand how Britney gets paid almost $500,000 per show and the revenue average per show is about $501,000. How do they make any profit?

Surely the economics goes beyond ticket sales - merchandise sales plays a small part but the spending power of the crowd the artists attracts is what Vegas is after.

I don’t think she does - its surely someone feeding the media false information.

Her last residency averaged 85% - and nobody gets more than they gross. I reckon Britney probably makes $375k-$400k per night.
