It's not been top 40 at all this week and there has been another chart rule change (which applied from last Friday) that stops tracks which are more than 3 years old from ever returning to SCR unless the label request a manual reset because e.g. the track is being actively promoted (though it's unclear whether this applies to these old tracks). The track had gone to SCR last week but if the rule applies to all old tracks then it may have already gone back to ACR.

The rule change is basically to stop older tracks at the likes of Christmas from logjamming up the charts like they have for the past few years. See my post at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=135139&p=6890199#p6890199

Edit: Joseph at BuzzJack has confirmed that 'Three Lions' has gone back to ACR due to the new rule change and is currently at number 63.

And of course it's no longer tight at the top of albums as Drake's fans continue listening but Florence's have already bought theirs.

That rule change puts the kibosh on any Facebook-type campaigns then. Or at least ones for very old songs. Christmas WAS getting monotonous.

It's yet another way of completely fabricating the charts.

^ Exactly. They keep adding more & more stupid rules, with little to no sense behind them.

revenue-based chart is the only solution to this stupidity. If a billionaire buys 1 rare exclusive vinyl for a 100k £, this should effectively mean we have a new #1.

'Three Lions' is still on ACR but the vast majority of its sales are from downloads (at around 70%) which aren't affected by ACR. If it wasn't for ACR the track would be far ahead with streaming included (probably close to 100k?). It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow as downloads for the track will have died down today. No streams from today will be included due to the OCC being unable to collect the data so that may work to the advantage of the track due to sales from streams being based on what the track may have streamed today.

 The Vamps' album is Night & Day - it's the Day Edition. OCC site lists it as a re-entry but it's a completely different set!

Childish Gambino's song is * (i prefer his other summer song at 92 - not getting airplay, sadly)

Honestly, are the people putting these lists together drunk?

Top 100s

:o That drop to 83 seems VERY steep given it didn't even drop down iTunes quickly. It's gonna be the first single to drop from number 1 and completely off the top 100 (200 if it still existed). :o

So happy to see Body sneaking into the top 40. Been loving this bop for a few weeks now, and its still steadily climbing up iTunes and Spotify.

With more radio and video airplay this could be a top 10 hit in a few weeks time. :D

The way the album has been marketed suggests that it is attracting multiple purchases by a core of very committed fans. The new album is available in a variety of formats and as well as containing 10 new tracks also contains all the tracks from the standard version of their last album. Sales of this new album, 'Night & Day (Day Edition)' are being combined with sales of their last album 'Night & Day (Night Edition)'.
