OK C&W fans - I now have chart data for Billboard, Music Vendor/Record World, and Cashbox charts so if you want to create a "Comparison Spreadsheet" you have all the data. Haven't figured out how to do this just yet so feel free to help out if you're an excel expert. October 4, 1954 to April 10, 1982 are the dates for the Music Vendor/Record World charts so you just have to add the Billboard and Cashbox chart data for these dates. Note that each individual spreadsheet has columns indicating peak positions on the other two charts - i.e. The MV/RW SS lists the peak position on the BB and CB charts.

Here's the Billboard chart data:
https://www49.zippyshare.com/v/DIMhTKyd/file.html

Here's the Cashbox chart data:
https://www55.zippyshare.com/v/4oumidrd/file.html
https://www83.zippyshare.com/v/Qsd12NxH/file.html

Here's the MV/RW chart data:

Huge thanks Dr Travel.

If the titles match across spreadsheets then it should be relatively easy to combine and create a comparison book type thing.

It is on my list - but to do it I'd need to add all these to the database. That is something I want to do though so it will definitely happen. I can possibly do something directly from the excel sheets though. I'm thinking how to do it :) I like a challenge!

Thanks DrTravel !!

BUT, now I can't download on Firefox with Norton security, it now blocks all zippy file downloads just like it did when using Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge.

For those of you who are getting successful downloads from zippy:
--what is your operating system? (I've got Windows 10)
--what is your browser?
--what is your internet security system?

So frustrating. Thanks & cheers !!

Thats a Dropbox link to a folder containing the four files recently uploaded by DrTravel. It will vanish in a few weeks.

Thanks as always DrT !! And KoS for the dropbox !! An incredible spreadsheet, and a clever (and simpler?) way of putting the data together by rows instead of columns.

Just a comment, I haven't scanned the whole spreadsheet, but it looks like records were only included if they appeared on all 3 charts, and weren't if they appeared on only 1 or 2 charts. (Noting that Whitburn's pop comparison book includes all records, even if they only made 1 chart.) Cheers n chips !!

There were separate tabs for records that appeared on 1 or 2 charts. Spend a moment to see what's there. I decided to add a Comprehensive Tab with a different format so I now show all songs that reached each chart(s) in one handy dandy tab.

Sorry I goofed, DrT. I have to chuckle, when I opened KoS's dropbox, the first thing I checked was to see if there were other tabs, and there were none there. I've since discovered it took 5-10 secs for them to appear/download, if only I'd looked again, ugh.

KoS, I eagerly await your dropbox of DrT's latest improvement/revision of this CW spreadsheet. Cheers !!

Yes, opening directly can be a problem. I always try and download the files.

A challenge for you - anyone have the ability to convert the information from the spreadsheet to a format similar to that of Record Research - see their example at:

https://www100.zippyshare.com/v/OHokpGYG/file.html

A new book for KoS?

Just do a small portion so I can see what outstanding layout you come up with. Maybe others can make a few suggestions.
