Another thread on this site concerns Galei Tzahal's (Israel's army station) weekly charts that they did until 1989. Does anyone here know if they resumed their charts, particularly after Reshet Gimmel stopped doing their international ones in 1997? What about other networks in Israel? I know of Media Forest's charts, but those only go back to 2009 and still leaves a gap of more than a decade in the charts. I remember seeing international music countdowns in Israel when I visited there on three occasions in the 2000s, but am not sure if any of them were on the local radio or if I am just remembering the countdowns from MTV Europe.

Galei Tzahal's chart was resumed in 1999. I'll write about that time when i'm finished with the 80's. It was broadcast in Galei Tzahal starting January 1999 and was moved to Galgalatz in May 2000.

Top 10 from 1980-1987 can be found earlier in this thread. If you want something more specific ask here and I'll try to help.

And can someone please post the number ones of the Galei Tzahal/ Galgalatz countdowns that aired from 1999. I don't need the ones from 2009 or later when Media Forest started doing their charts, as their data are easily available online. Thanks.

The only info I have now is that Gary Barlow's "Forever love" entered in 30.7.1996 at #8.
