68 is not critical acclaim, it's average at best.

The Pitchfork is so on point when it comes to Ed's public persona.
Generally favorable reviews FYI
68 is mediocre Iydk

I only listened to this twice but it's definitely less stellar than X. That album was his peak i guess.

I liked him before the album came out.
I swear I really liked the guy.

His latest interviews and especially the full album have put me off so damn much.

Setlist seems to be:

1. Castle on the Hill
2. Eraser
3. The A Team
4. Don't / New Man
5. Lego House
6. I'm a Mess
7. Happier
8. Galway Girl
9. How Would You Feel (Paean)
10. Human / I See Fire
11. Photograph
12. Perfect
13. Bloodstream
14. Thinking Out Loud
15. Sing

Encore:
16. Shape of You
17. You Need Me, I Don't Need You
18. What Do I Know?

Solid one.

One song that i really, really miss is "Nancy Mulligan" which is my clear fave on the album by now. Would have loved to see him performing it, it's a shame that it's not even on the standard edition of the album :(

Very happy for "I'm A Mess" and "I See Fire" though :D

The setlist looks quite short. He's on his third album, he should've had more than 18 songs. And I don't know how I feel about What Do I Know being the last song.
Rest In Peace Lilly!

Second date and he performed "Dive", "Nancy Mulligan" and "Supermarket Flowers" instead of "How Would You Feel" and "Lego House"

I hope this is true, especially "Nancy Mulligan" and "Dive" are awesome and deserve to be performed. Ok, "Lego House" is obviously great too, but that's nothing new, while i can totally live without "How Would You Feel".

I'm seeing him tomorrow and i really hope he keeps "Nancy Mulligan" on the setlist...

At the moment it's 62 and user score is 4.3
It's mediocre indeed, barely above 60

It says "Generally favorable reviews based on 17 Critics". But if you want to make up your own rating system be my guest

Comparing to most albums these days it's mediocre.
It's lower than Justin Bieber's album, it's below his own 65 average. No one said it was panned by the critics, but 62 is bad. As a comparison, Adele's 25 got 75.
It's on the bottom 14 albums on Metacritic, for the past 3 months, out of 238.
So it's the 224th worst rated album for the past 90 days, and it's the one with the lowest user score.

If you think being in the bottom 6% albums is not mediocre at best, than you might want to consider taking some math lessons.

Like you said for the past 90 days, not all time. There you go again making your own ranking system...I'm just reading what it says there, I didn't compare it to other albums I just said its reviews overall having been favorable. Ofc that are albums above it, didn't said otherwise, just saying that its metascore is not abd as you guys are painting it.

This is my fave album of the year thus far. I honestly never expected and had no intention to buy this until all the tracks charted in the opening week and they were playing it during during the chart.
Absolutely well done to Ed and his superb team for crafting this.

I saw him at Newcastle's St. James Park last night and whilst he put on a good show, I'll admit I was underwhelmed. Most of his material doesn't translate well in a stadium environment and falls flat, and as much as I know that Ed is a simple guy and performer, the staging and much of the screen visuals were cheap as hell. I'm not sure I'd see him again. Clearly I'm the only one who felt this way as other concert goers were raving about it.

So he added new dates for this tour in Europe next year :o

Unfortunately none in Switzerland this time. Aw. I couldn't see him this summer so it would have been cool seeing him next year instead.
