I've listened to all the previews and I can't feel any soul there. It's just a random pop album made quickly for money or to coincidence with her clothing line at Aldi (it won't sell but she can go on tour at least). All the songs could've been sung and released by anyone else.
I don't feel any real Anastacia there. Yes, her voice is nice but that's it...
I’m not saying I don’t like AnastaciaMikerocha wrote:SalBoy should change his name to IHateEverything
What the hell, a song I never used again after first listen, it was bad and maybe even the worstOldmacs wrote:My everything is the next single. What is her management thinking.
It also surprised me, since this record is also a lot more 'current' than most stuff on Resurrection, while she did various promo spots throughout Europe for that albumFreakydeaky23 wrote:It really was shocking. I was frustrated during the Resurrection era when the promotion in the UK was very patchy and badly done but I understood it might be harder to do at that time because she didn't have a full record deal, it was only a business partnership. When she signed back with a label I was expecting so much more and it actually got far worse. I thought she would manage to get a spot on Strictly to promote the single, but there was nothing
The entire album seems like an afterthought and has no business in the timeline of Not That Kind, Freak of Nature, Anastacia and Resurrection. Hell even heavy rotation. That one at least had a vision. A concept. This feels like a side project. I almost see it in the same avenue as it’s a mans world... doesn’t feel ‘proper’ to meJesper wrote:I am surprised how a non-event this era was, the whole point to have an album out seems to she had an 'excuse' or 'reason' to tour.
