1. Praying
Written with Ben Abraham and Ryan Lewis Macklemore, Praying is the first single from the new record, and is a bold, emotional ballad. It opens with a solo piano as Kesha’s deep voice filters over the top, and it’s an anthem to everything she’s suffered in the last four years.
Unashamedly referencing the court case and what she’s been through, there’s only one person this song can be about.
‘After everything you’ve done / I can thank you for what I’ve become’ she sings. ‘No more monsters, I can breathe again.’
A huge beat kicks in and she hits an impressive high note as she sings the self-empowering words ‘the best is yet to come’. On the hook belts out the words ‘I hope your soul is changing.’ It’s incredibly personal, raw, and honest, demonstrating her incredible vocal talents and anthemic in feel.

2. Hymn
Produced by Ricky Reed, Kesha called this her ‘risky’ track on the album and said it took her six months to write. ‘This is a song for people who feel they don’t fit’ she explained.
Sonically, it’s an experiment for her, but it works. There s sense of a Katy Perry Roar vibe about it with a sexy slowed down beat, and she sing directly to anyone struggling with their identity.
Kesha's album Rainbow is a powerful, emotional and feminist record that was worth the wait
There’s a lot of pain but also hope in the record (picture: REX/Shutterstock)

3. Woman
This is where old Kesha kicks in. Inspired for her dislike for Donald Trump, it’s a wallop around the head of a power track, with a huge sound, huge base, and a brilliant top line: ‘I’m a motherfucking woman!’ she sings over and over again. It makes you want to fist pump the air and yell ‘hell yeah I’m a woman!’
‘I wrote this enraged about Donald Trump’s pussy grabbing comment,’ she explained. ‘I just got in my car screaming “I’m a motherfucking woman!” out of the window.’
This is an anthem for every woman everywhere and is guaranteed to be a club banger. It harps back to her Animal vibe and gives a good nod to Kesha’s old days.

4. Learn To Let Go
Kesha's album Rainbow is a powerful, emotional and feminist record that was worth the wait
The album is stunning
Kesha wrote Learn To Let Go with her mum on a boat, and as the title suggests, is another nod to the court battle she suffered through. It was inspired by a friend who had suffered through the worst childhood imaginable but still came out smiling. It’s another huge, heavy beat, no doubt will be another club favourite, with empowering lyrics like ‘I’m done reliving bad decisions / I’ve been to hell and back.’

5. Rainbow
Kesha broke down in tears during her explanation of the title track. She wrote it while sat on the floor in rehab with just a toy keyboard. Written at a time when she was in a very dark place, Kesha said: ‘this song was a promise to myself.
The track is incredibly personal and vulnerable. It’s another raw track, opening with just her voice and simple piano chords.
In the opening verse she sings ‘Got back the stars in my eyes, I see the magic inside of me.’
But it builds in both sound an emotion (we won’t judge you from letting out a little tear listening to this one) as a full live orchestra kicks in.
She sings ‘I’ve found a rainbow, I know life is scary but put those colours on girl.’
You can almost feel her lifting her own darkness with this track.

6. Bastards
Best title of a song ever? This is another empowering anthem, centred around the old adage ‘don’t let the bastards grind you down.’ It’s a song to all the bullies out there telling them to shut the hell up.
‘Don’t let the bastards get you down, don’t let the arseholes wear you out,’ she sings.
It’s got a country vibe with a choir laid over top and it’s an upbeat end to the hot bed of emotions that the rest of the album has been.

If they allowed Nevermind by Nirvana, Revival by Selena among other covers, than Kesha also should be fine

YAAAASSSSS
So ready for this.
Hopefully we get a nice mix of old school Kesha and this new empowered woman from "Praying".
Love her version of "Old Flames" so a Dolly duet could be fantastic and a nice little crossover hit.
Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet...

Even as a KE$HA hater I am pretty excited about this project. I can't stand Tik Tok and any of her crap but this seems to go somewhere. At least it digs a little deeper than cleaning the vomit off the floor.
