Miley Cyrus | Younger Now

"Malibu" feels like a stand-alone track. Like the rest of the album consists of Joanne leftovers.

I hope she has sone uptempo tracks on it. Otherwise, I'll pass.
I was really looking forward to getting new albums by Selena, Miley, Demi this year but honestly, I am only very keen on Selena's output now.

That's because everything she's doing is a snooze fest.

Since this album will be more Country than "Joanne" and Taylor's album prior "1989" together, I think it's time it we moved this to Rock/Alternative.

^ Really?

These songs are still "pop" in my opinion. They may not be beat-driven dance or urban pop, but they aren't another genre like rock or alternative. Nice melodies, catchy choruses - everything is intact. They just aren't hitting as some of her other more urban leaning pop songs have. There are a million and one potential reasons for it, but I'm all about the authentic quality both songs have had thus far. She sounds happy and totally in her element. I feel like she can afford to blaze her own trail, successful era or not. And pop radio needs artists like her to stick to their artistic guns and not cater to the trends of the day.

Dead Petz was waaaaay more alternative than this. This is 100% pop, IMO

+1
All of the songs have been massive growers for me.
Although I'm afraid there is zero hype about this. The tracks are doing horribly.

This is like the shortest lived era I've seen. The album isn't even out yet and everyone is so bored and over it, even Miley said she's now moved on from this

While I love everything this era aside from Inspired, it does seem so dead... weird because it started really well with Malibu.

Oh well, at least the lead single was a success, better that than a full flop era with no hit at all

This is going to be the first Miley album (if you exclude Dead Petz) that I won't buy. All of the songs released so far are just boring. I didn't even like Malibu. Younger Now is probably the best one so far but even that one isn't a banger.

Album is already out on AM in Germany, and i only really like Love Some from the album, it should have been the second single imo.
