Just gave the majority of the album a spin and I think I need time to digest it to give a proper review or judgement

Unlike other things that wither, she preserves. She’s a constant in a world of relentless flux. She’s a beacon of immortality. Bitch, she’s Madonna.

I can’t believe you have the nerve to report posts claiming you’re feeling offended when you’re making crappy comments like this.

Improve your own posts and attitude before reporting someone else’s.

Maybe a moderator could clean this topic up seeing as it’s no longer about music.

I think the real cover is okay but the pool photo right at the top of this article would make a muchhhhh better album cover! :o :D

I just listed to the album, "Too Good To Say Goodbye", "Pray" and Burning are the best. The rest sounds a lot like the same over and over again.

I swear half of this thread is about him being a (power) bottom. Y'all need to get laid asap.

Jesus, this album has almost as many 1 star ratings on UK iTunes as it does 5. What's with all the Sam Smith hate all of a sudden? I'll admit his music is nothing to write home about and isn't my cup of tea but all this hate this innocent man is receiving is uncalled for.

The album is great. Not unsimilar to his debut but that’s fine. HIM is a standout.

OMG HIM SINGING WORK FROM HOME HAS JUST MADE THIS ERA FOR ME

The Album is actually very top notch. the title track is AMAZING

I think the album does not have a stay with me but it's far far far much more coherent as a body of work compared to his debut.

The thing i LOVE about this era is ... he came back with a bit more personality and kinda stamping his spot on the pop arena. He is basically being unapologetically himself and I am living.

I honestly think he needs to feature of a really ratchet hip pop song. I wouldn't be mad at a Rihanna collabo

He doesn't really like the album cover
But it was entirely his choice to use that photo.

"I wanted to put a picture out of myself that I didn't actually like all that much, so that's what I’ve done. I think it's a bit odd. I don’t think it's my favourite angle," he said.

Well, remember , the first album wasn’t really a critical darling till Grammies. And this one... I’ll give it a second listen but so far it’s been a snoozefest.

I've only heard some of it but there's one word for it - pedestrian. It's basically In The Lonely Hour 2.0. It makes Adele's 25 sound experimental. Coffee table music for the masses!
