I know! I'm not a fan of the original song but Cher's version is pure heaven!

It’s impressive. Her voice is getting even better with age.

I’d say 90/00/10s Cher’s deep voice is my favourite one among all female singers.

I'm not overly thrilled with the album, I totally understand the karaoke comments. I like her version of a couple of the songs like 'SOS', but overall it's a bit of "why does this album exist?" moment

^It exists so Cher can be on top of iTunes worldwide albums chart for 4 days since the release and give her biggest first week sales in the US, among other reasons :).

Another awesome review !

From the second ‘Dancing Queen’ waltzes into earshot, we know we’re in the presence of royalty. It’s a surprise, sure, to hear Cher grabbing the mic from Agnetha, replacing her reedy naiveté with the voice of an older, throatier, and more self-assured woman. But by god, it’s glorious.

Awesome! But what does that exactly mean, will they play it the whole week?

It means exactly that! It’ll get played throughout the week, at various points (one song at a time, I’m not sure if the entire album will be played or whether they will just stick with a handful of songs) - Radio 2 is the station in the UK with the biggest listening audience, so should be good promotion.

The vinyl edition of 'Dancing Queen' is finally out, just in time for Christmas. Look how glossy it is:

In other news, the CD edition has been reduced to £7.99 as part of Amazon's Christmas promotion.

Silver certification is on lock, I reckon. ^_^

I hope part 2 has the ‘same’ cover with Blonde Cher stood looking into the camera and the other one starring to the right.

I finally listened to it and it surprised me how she gave it such a heartbreaking, soulful spin to some tracks while still keeping some of the more upbeat ones light but powerful... her voice is really somethin' ...which brings me to the only thing that bothered me was the auto-tune thing, I mean her voice sounds great without it and felt it really was unnecessary at times, I just preferred her more "natural" renditions
