The acoustic version is heavenly. Her voice sounds so pure. And Luis Fonsi doesn't ruin the song.

Has a Clean Bandit single ever taken this long to take off? It's already down to #112 on spotify UK. Maybe their first flop single since 2014's Come Over :o

I miss you got off to a slow start although it eventually picked up steam and had an enduring chart run and finally peaked at #4 a good three months after release.

Although Baby being #112 doesn't look good. Marina forever destined to never get that top 10 hit. Shame though because had it been Rihanna doing the vocals, it'd probably be top 10 now.

Gutted this isn’t doing much so far but Radio 1 have just added it so there might be life in it yet.

Hadn’t realised before but this sounds like Shakira in parts, I wonder how she might have been on this track

Marina's flop curse has no bounds

This is #29 in the midweeks, definitely an underperformance. I Miss You was their previous low-peak from this album, and even it was at #14 by the end of its third week. The only difference is that Baby is the only song from the album that wasn't instantly playlisted by Radio 1 upon release. The impact date was probably later; maybe they're hoping the song will have legs into Janaury. Hopefully that means promo and spotifyola.

Clean Bandit x Shakira would be a smart move, their A&R need to get on that.

The disparity between iTunes and Spotify continues. Baby is up to #4 on iTunes UK but still floundering around the top 100 area on Spotify.

#1 on the airplay chart this week so I think its success is still to come!

It's also up to #26 officially so its iTunes success is definitely helping the track stay afloat for now. If Baby was to start climbing up Spotify then there's a good chance the song will get its peak possibly the week after christmas once all the festive songs drop out of the chart.

I listened to the song for the first time yesterday and I really like it. Its sound is rather unexpected as the collaboration is between three acts of such different musical backgrounds. It might have the potential to become my favorite song of theirs, surpassing 'Rather Be'. I like the lyrics as much as the instrumental, the music video and the respective solo parts of Marina and Fonsi. The last chorus kind of sounds like a mash-up as both singers sing together; I feel like that part could have been executed a bit better, but that's just a little detail missing from perfection. 9/10
