WHUT :o :o :o

"hopeless fountain kingdom" was THE album of 2017 for me, so i'm freaking excited for this. A shame she didn't push more singles, like the brilliant "Heaven In Hiding" or finally giving a proper push to the flawless "Strangers", but i'm so here for new music.

And please, let her finally tour in Europe (not UK).

Curious for this! Her last album had some great tracks ('Now Or Never', 'Bad at Love', 'Strangers')

Releasing on my birthday :D

Hope it's a great song, HFK was one of the best albums of last year.

I was obsessed with HFK so I’m really hyped.
Most listened to albums at the moment:
Christina Aguilera - Liberation
Lily Allen - No Shame
Kali Uchis - Isolation

She said in her Beats 1 interview that this is a stand alone single, not attached to any album

Not bad, but for me it's not as good as 'Now Or Never', 'Bad At Love' or 'Strangers'.

This is quite commercial for her, but i already had it on heavy rotation on my way to work today. Love it! "hopeless fountain kingdom" still had a lot to offer so i'm surprised she's throwing in a stand alone single, but i still hope it does well. Apart from "Bad At Love", the hfk era wasn't as exciting as i was hoping for, sadly.

It’s odd how this is Halsey’s first solo single to start breaking through in Europe. Eastside must have sold her as an artist in a way Closer couldn’t.

She’s been kind of a reverse Zara Larsson with her America-centric success so far.

She currently has two songs within the Billboard Hot 100 top 20, this and Eastside.

The chorus is killer, it's no Bad at Love but that would be hard to achieve.

^ do they? To be fair, she only had one big hit on her own so far (BAL) and a semi-sized hit (NON). Everything else wasn‘t that successful, even the radio-friendly „Alone“ flopped as the follow-up to BAL...

So i‘m happy to see „Without Me“ doing so well for her :D

I thought 'Now Or Never' and 'Bad At Love' were big radio hits. 'Alone' did also quite well on radio, especially compared to streaming/downloads.

Huh? By reverse Zara Larsson I meant cracking America but not making a dent in Europe, while Zara is massive in Europe but didn't really break through in America.

It's difficult for European acts to break America, but American acts tend to breakthrough worldwide once they see success in the US. It's unusual that that hasn't been the case for Halsey, although it seems to be becoming more common as of late with acts such as Alessia Cara and Khalid not making much impact in Europe despite also getting massive airplay in the US.
