I love Jessie. She gets so much slack here. R.O.S.E. was excellent.

The cover for this is so extra tho

I think Jessie j must return to more radio-friendly tracks ...more commercial . I love the idea to do a christmas album because she has an icredible voice. Yes, are very basic tracks ..but the feeling is the same.

How the mighty (ego) has fallen...

Who releases a Christmas album in October? You can’t listen to Xmas songs until you put your tree up on December 1st!

^ October is actually very popular with Christmas releases. Pentatonix released their Christmas album, last year Lindsey Stirling & Gwen Stefani (the two best selling Christmas albums of 2017) were released in october plus their re-releases came out this month as well, for example.

This isn't that bad to be honest
Many miles many roads I have traveled
Fallen down on the way
Many hearts many years have unraveled
Leading up to today

The new song is actually quite pretty and pleasant to listen to.

If someone had told me some years ago that I'd enjoy a Jessie J Christmas flop song in 2018, I'd not only call them crazy, but be deeply offended

Really shocked that even this album bombed hard, it really seems she's over. I thought that she'd at least have a fizzling-out period, but nope, she just completely fell from Bang Bang and Flashlight which were really big straight into oblivion with R.O.S.E :o also can't believe she and Ariana Grande were actually on a song together, which would nowadays be inconceivable

It's a bit too jazzy for my tastes but I particularly like Man With The Bag.

But surely flesh light only did well cause it was from pitch perfect and didn’t Hailee Steinfeld do a version?

her career decline has been insane, she’s basically at the same level of someone like Pixie Lott

True. No idea why though. "R.O.S.E." seemed well received by the people. The release strategy definitely didn't work out for her.

Also, it's not only crazy how she's collaborated with Ariana, but that she was basically the lead artist of that collaboration. Ariana wouldn't even put Jessie as a feature on a B-Side of a single these days

Ok. Now I am a SUCKER for Christmas albums so this should have come as no surprise but I really enjoyed the album! She didn’t over sing too much on it like I thought she would. I really enjoyed her versions of the songs and in general I thought it was great!

Rose was totally mishandled imo. There was no strategy. First of all, the lead single should’ve been Not My Ex as it proved to be most viewed on YT and seemed most accessible. Queen would’ve worked too with that video of female empowerment.

But right in the middle of the promo, she just went to China to participate in a talent show and basically put everyhing on hold, releasing the video for Queen months after when ppl could care less + releasing the album in 4 EPs damaged its performance too.

Rose would’ve been a flop regardless, but I think it wouldn’t have been such a drastic fall.

It was already released at Christmas 2015, so it has had four Christmases to get those plays.
