So many great songs ended up being cut off from Human. Keyed, After the Flood, Cigarette...

And my personal favorite:

Living All Alone by Phyllis Hyman and All Woman by Lisa Stansfield have been my jams lately. Must be the weather that makes me listen to these quiet storm songs.

Been listening to a lot of the 1990s R&B and there's so much to discover, even for those acts who did not dominate the charts. 1990s was the golden age of R&B.

For me, the 70s had the best R&B. The 90s was incredible though.

Your Terri & Monica post reminded me of Trina & Tamara.
Anyone remember this? A forgotten jam.

Same here, there were probably 50 R&B acts 'unknown' to me that I started listening and discovering in the past weeks. :o :o :o

I don't care what anyone says, Coko is the best female vocalist of the 90s.

It's so weird, I was just skimming through my R&B albums in my computer and literally everyone I just listened to the past week got mentioned here. I don't know why Coko's debut album did not get any love, she is an amazing vocalist!
