Bruno Mars has this fall's most in-demand tour, according to StubHub

Summer is officially over and the fall concert season is upon us.

StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, released its third annual ranking of the most in-demand U.S. fall concert tours, with Bruno Mars taking the number one spot — and boasting a huge lead over his competitors — with 35 show dates.

Coming in second was Ed Sheeran (proving that fans do still want to see his face after that “Game of Thrones” cameo) with 23 show dates and Lady Gaga was third with 13 show dates

They update so little. But I bet this time around they will publish everything regarding this tour, they want to do this one bigger than the last one :)

From Prince To Paul McCartney To Bruno Mars, LeRoy Bennett Is the Man

Image

LeRoy Bennett may not be a household name, but he is one of the most trusted people in the entertainment business by the superstars.

How is this for a resume? The production and or lighting director for the current Paul McCartney, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga tours. That justifies a damn. He also worked with Prince from 1980 to 1994, so he was the man during Prince’s Purple Rain tour.

Baltin: Let’s talk Bruno. When you’re starting this current tour with him what is your process?

Bennett: I love Bruno, I have so much respect for him not just as an artist, but as a human being. And all artists have things about who they are. He’s very specific about things he likes. He has been heavily influenced by Prince, in a lot of ways, as well as Michael Jackson. But he speaks in a way that is very familiar to me because of the way Prince spoke. I know how to listen to an artist and understand the essence of what they’re saying. He has a very specific style and every time he does an album it is a reflection of an era, whether it’s the ‘70s, the ‘80s, this one being the ‘90s. It’s a hint of what things look like visually at that time, but with a twist on it so it’s modern.

He has only been booking stadiums in SA, that means he is becoming bigger and on the next tour not even arenas will be enough according to certain countries and demand :)

I went to his London's tour in April, it was my first concert as well. It was an unforgettable experience, he is very good and even the supporting act was good. Totally worth the price! He's coming to Malaysia, which is where I am staying now but the tickets were SOLD OUT. Don't mind going for the second time!

He has been performing Gorilla instead of Grenade. I strongly believe that him performing Gorilla is a must but he could replace like Runaway Baby, S&UD or any another track that was not released as a single and not one of his biggest hits :(

Bruno Mars' 24K Magic Tour Tops $129 Million Earned (and Counting)
http://www.billboard.com/articles/colum ... ion-earned

Bruno Mars has topped $129 million in ticket sales so far from the ongoing tour in support of 24K Magic, his third studio album released in November of 2016. The most recent report of box office activity from the tour’s producer, Live Nation, includes $76 million in revenue from the pop star’s current trek through North American cities that runs through Nov. 11. Sales from this trek through the U.S. and Canada earn Mars a slot on Billboard’s weekly recap of Hot Tours

The 24K Magic Tour launched earlier this year in Europe with a slate of arena dates through 34 cities that stretched from March 28 until June 15. The North American leg followed after a brief four-week break, beginning with a July 15 performance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Through the tour’s Oct. 10 performance at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia (the last show included in this week’s report), a total of 659,190 sold tickets at 42 concerts in 32 cities produced the $76 million North American gross.

Nine venues on the trek hosted Mars for two performances, but only Chicago’s United Center booked the tour for three nights. With sellouts at each show, the Windy City arena logged a total of 47,942 fans in attendance on Aug. 16, 18 and 19 with sales hitting $6.3 million. It is the singer’s highest-grossing North American engagement this year and ranks second among all the dates reported worldwide since the tour began in the spring. Only London’s O2 Arena logged a higher gross with £5.1 million ($6.6 million) earned at four performances in April.
