The whole midlife crisis for Mariah Carey is in full swing now so this image and her direction is pretty much a given. As for the song, there's nothing catchy about it, it's still the same talk-singing on a hard bass beat kind of songs she's been doing since 2005, and the whole rapper opening the song to introduce her is so twenty years ago.
Whoever thought that using the baiting song title would click and generate some memes or go viral should re-assess that this is not going to be her next "Obsessed", it's just so stale and dull. If for anything, this is probably the last time people would still want to check her out after that New Year's fiasco, Mariah should have capitalized on releasing something like "You Don't Know What to Do" or "#Beautiful" or something that's melodic enough to at least make her look like she's still someone to be taken seriously.
Ranking her lead singles and buzz singles this decade, this is by far, her worst.
1. "#Beautiful" (featuring Miguel)
3. "Triumphant (Get 'Em)" (featuring Meek Mill & Rick Ross)
4. "I Don't" (featuring YG)
I want to feel your heart and soul inside of me
Let's make a deal you roll, I lick
And we can go flying into ecstasy
