Kinda like how you do errands all day and then remember that you needed milk and stamps once you got home and took off your shoes. Janet was great, sounded wonderful, but it just seemed a little blah, stage design wise. I also felt a little awkward with some of the sequencing, such as Together Agin into What About into If. Still glad I went though. Floor 3, row 3, seats 1 and 2.
Do you think that the estimate which was pegged to close to 9000 was accurate?

Hey there!!!! I'm originally from Kansas City :) (I stay in Atlanta now...and will be going to the ATL show).

That's an interesting description though, yet I can imagine it being that way crowd reaction wise.

Expecting a huge production is unrealistic. She's doing it on her own, without any sponsors or major record label behind her. She's an indie artist now. It's a miracle that she's doing it at all.

I have actually saw some people stating that the production is a bit disappointing. However, she will have a bigger production if she can reach overall 40 million this time. Also I am a bit confused, if she puts her music out next year (and of course touring), wouldn't it be a little bit too frequent for her touring every two years.

The stage is too basic imho. Unbreakable stage was better. They should have retained the side panel backdrops and the 2 stairs.

St. Louis attendance was a near sell out of 7000. Arena is relatively small.

Those marked seats were just added for Chicago. The show is in two days.

Rosemont will be be close to selling out (or perhaps completely sell out). Attendance will be very good for this show. Moline, though has improved, still has a long way to go and the tickets now are selling cheap.
Milwaukee, according to a review said Janet was amazing and the show was lit but it failed to draw a large crowd. Upper section was closed off.

Thanks for sharing.

Much better in Vancouver than in 2015 actually.

It's only important to finish this tour without any cancellations. Everything else is secondary.

Consider she has no promotion and the damaged reputation of cancelling two times prior this tour. She is doing great, I still think she will end up with the highest gross post AFYT.

FYI, out of her remaining 31 shows, there are only 5-6 shows selling average. Most of the remaining shows are almost sold out and adding restricted seats or opening more upper section seats. That's amazing already.

PS: why live nation always reports the worst shows, makes me feel they are not a fan of Janet (even though they are the promoter and making profits).

A shame since 7k attendance is not bad at all.

'Empire' stars attend Janet Jackson's show at Allstate Arena

Empire" stars Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett were among those who attended Janet Jackson’s concert Thursday at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

“I’m going to scream ‘til I’m hoarse. Cookie ain’t going to have no voice next Wednesday," Henson says in a video posted on social media before the show. She plays matriarch Cookie Lyon on “Empire,” which is filmed in Chicago and airs Wednesdays on the Fox network.

The Rosemont stop is part of Jackson's “State of the World" tour and was one of a spate of shows that were postponed as she welcomed her first child, baby boy Eissa, in January.

She sings live after all. At least partly. And it sounds good.

The Chicago Sun-Times: There has always been something incredibly tender in particular about her songwriting and delivery... As Missy E says in “Burnitup”… “Miss Jackson, oh she wear the crown.” And no one can take it from her.

The truth is in the touring era that we’re in now she hasn’t really shown her worth. That is not to say anything of what sort of performer she is, but as a business woman she hasn’t really utilised her stardom to create a solid foundation as a touring must-see name. Of course she is legendary, but she needs to prove she is a reliable bet (no cancel shows) and needs to be out on the road quite a lot more than she has been.
