Legends of the Summer, Watch the Throne Tour and On the Run Tour were all very successful especially the latter which did $109 million with only 21 shows, but these were all him co-headlining, I don't know well the Magna Carter World Tour did as most of the numbers weren't reported.

It could be that only a few shows are not doing very well, and then, you know the media... They can't wait.

I really like that stage.

Why JAY-Z's 4:44 Tour Will Be His Highest Grossing Solo Run Ever Despite Cheap Tickets on StubHub

ust three dates in, JAY-Z’s 4:44 Tour is already the rapper’s highest grossing solo tour ever, promoter Live Nation tells Billboard. Average gross for the 4:44 Tour’s completed shows is up 21 percent over his 2013 Magna Carter Tour— Live Nation said the Honda Center show in Anaheim, Calif., earned nearly 49% more than the same stop in 2013.
"This tour will be the biggest headlining tour of Jay’s career,” says Omar Al-Joulani, VP of touring at Live Nation.

Sales for JAY-Z’s tour represent a paradigm shift in concert tickets: by more aggressively pricing front row seats, VIP experiences and platinum tickets, concert promoters are getting increasingly more skilled at commanding high prices and record grosses from their best seating inventory.

Further adding to pressure on the secondary is Live Nation’s strategy to release large blocks of tickets prior to JAY-Z taking the stage. Al-Joulani explained that the 4:44 Tour sells eight to 10 percent of total tickets on the day of show — the Las Vegas concert at T-Mobile Center (Oct. 28) saw 1,480 tickets sold with 24 hours of JAY-Z taking the stage without any tickets marked down in price, a record for an arena show in Sin City. Al-Joulani says JAY-Z has already sold more tickets than the entire Magna Carta Tour, and that’s with 30 more shows to go

JAY-Z DROPS 3 NEW ‘4:44’ VIDEOS

JAY-Z is in the spirit of giving. On Black Friday, the Roc Nation boss unleashed three cinematic videos for “Legacy,” “Smile,” and “Marcy Me” off his critically-lauded 13th album, 4:44.

The first of those is a 10-minute mini movie for “Legacy,” which stars Susan Sarandon, Jesse Williams, and Ron Perlman. Written and directed by Jeymes Samuel, the video features a group of inmates who plan “The Carter Escape.”

Aldis Hodge, Kwame Boateng, Edi Gather, Jonathan Tucker, Marque Richardson, and Emile Hirsch also appear in the short film, which focuses on mass incarceration, the prison system, and rehabilitation.

Up next, Jigga unleashes the 8-minute long short film for “Smile.” Written and directed by Miles Jay, the movie tells the story of the song, which is in part about JAY-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter, coming to terms with her sexuality.

The mini movie stars Dominique Fishback as a young Gloria Carter. It also features Isi Laborde, Taylor Thomas, and Guy Lockard in a story about Carter’s emotional journey through JAY’s childhood. Mrs. Carter herself shares her “Smile” poem at the end of the touching visual.

Finally, Hov unveils a striking visual for “Marcy Me,” which opens with a police helicopter’s view of New York. The clip follows a bird’s eye view of the boroughs, traveling through sidewalks, following a young boy’s journey to and from a liquor store. It’s also a call back to the name of the song, which references JAY’s beloved Marcy Projects.

JAY is currently on his “4:44 Tour,” which is set to continue through Dec. 21 in Los Angeles. Past videos from 4:44 include “MaNyfaCedGod,” “Kill Jay Z,” “BAM,” and “Moonlight.”
Rest In Peace Lilly!

Those music videos look incredible. JAY-Z 's art direction is possibly the best of 2017. Hope we don't have to wait too long to get them on youtube.
