In fact Toni and Monica taught be the true value of short albums but quality songs.
This album is short has I feel all the songs are ace.
I would add Kelis Fleshtone to that list too for me personally. I LOVE that album. Short albums can be awesome. All killer no filler.
Add Janets Control too.

I just wish she'd release another single/video ('Missin').

My most disappointing album this year. A skid mark in her discography.

If the album doesn't get a nod, 'Long as I live' at least deserves a grammy in my opinion but I know the competition will be very high not to mention Ella Mae ' Boo'd up' etc.

"Boo'd Up" would win. The nomination is the only thing that we are hoping for.

I wouldn't have thought Boo'd Up and LAIL would be competing in all the same categories? Shouldn't Boo'd Up/Ella be in the contemporary R&B categories, at least for the album.

Anyways.....I just re-listened to this album and wow, it's better than I initially thought. "Coping" is a HITTTTTTTTTTTTTT (let down by tacky production). I wish they kept the song with solely the piano throughout. I get why they added a more uptempo production though since a lot of the other songs are very slow, but still. It would have been perfect with just the piano as the beginning of the song is so good.

There's only one contemporary R&B category, which is the Urban Contemporary Album. The performances and songs are all going to compete under R&B, unless it's a Traditional R&B Performance.

Is this new? I remember them being separated previously...so people like Ledisi weren't competing with Rihanna.

There are still two R&B caterogies for the album, Best R&B Album and Best Contemporary R&B Album (which was renamed to Best Urban Contemporary Album).

Defjam are not the greatest label for her tbh.

Was she submitted in any vocal categories?

Tamia went from indie label success to Def Jam horror with Love Life. They are horrific.

Coping is a jam of note!!! And the remixes are equally heavenly! This album, though short, is absolutely brilliant!!!
