I am listening to it right now. It's not exactly what I call a BOP.

I miss a killer hook to be honest. I can imagine that it can get dull quite fast.

This is such a cool jam, not a single material, but it's Mya we're talking about so it doesn't matter.

This was never meant to be a single single or any indication of her masterpiece album. Just something she wanted to give to the fans as well as a video too. I know for her masterpiece she's worked with Claude Kelly, Chuck Harmony, I wanna say Damon Elliot is on board she recently was spotted at his studio, etc.

Video drops on October 10 (her birthday). In a recent interview she said she's gotta couple videos coming.

Oooh, I'm looking forward to the video. I think this song could really be elevated with a dope video (like Coolin')

This is cute. It really reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it (though it also reminds me of Christina Milian's EP from a few years ago).

Prelude to Ready for Whatever

Now that I heard the prelude it sounds like it flows right into Ready for Whatever perfectly. I think these will appear on her masterpiece album too.

Still not into it but I am curious to see the video.

I really miss the Fear Of Flying/Moodring eras. Even her debut album used to deliver a 100%.

Cute video. The song is such a grower - it's gonna be a perfect background for studying/writing papers 8-)

Awww. Hopefully you like the next new song she's coming with.

She shot another video recently for another new song. 3:45 mark

Working on 2 new projects. 7:10 mark.

I hope so too.

Ready For Whatever ain't bad but it's just so underwhelming in comparison to previous single releases - and of course her music around millenium.

She previewed/played the R. Kelly inspired Ready for Whatever on IG. It's not a prelude like I thought it was. It's a full song. She refers to it as Ready For Whatever Pt. 2 "bedroom mix". She also took down contenders for the bedroom mix as well far as Chris Brown, Usher, Miguel Trey Songz, etc.

This is now featured on Apple Music's Breaking R&B playlist. Hopefully Carl Chery of Apple Music's Hip Hop and R&B programming/Head of Artist Curation put her on the A-List R&B playlist eventually. People are gravitating towards this song and lovin' it.
