If this had a #1 or award, you would all be counting it as Beyonce’s #1 or awards lol

Most of us did not count it before we knew how much it was going to sell. I personally thought it was going to do 300k, but still did not count it.

The artist is The Carters, not Jayz and Beyonce. They are a Supergroup. The tour was already a Jayz and Beyonce tour before the album came out, do we do count the tour gross though.

People do not count it because it's not #1. That's very obvious to me.
This is no less of her album than all her others but sure.

Anyway they were playing this the other day at Tromsø's tourist center. I at least heard Boss and Nice, very random

I disagree wholeheartedly. "The Carters" are not Beyoncé to me. "Destiny's Child" are not Beyoncé to me. Hell, I wouldn't even lump Bon Jovi albums with Jon Bon Jovi solo albums (not that I care much about them, but just as an example).

If EIL sounded like a collection of Crazy In Loves and Deja Vus, I would somehow understand the categorisation as a "Beyoncé album", but it sounds like an all-new blend of both their respective styles. It's neither a Beyoncé, nor a Jay-Z album to me.

I don't think any Beyonce stans would have any problem lumping DC and Carters with Beyonce's stats... if people wanna be this petty.

I mean EIL is currently the dark horse to take Album of the Year the the Grammies so bring it

I would be more than happy if we would count DC and this to her total. Another 400k SPS, top 15 hit ans Urban No.1 to her Name. The Streak wouldn't be over anyway as Billboard counts it different. Oh and if we're there lets also include Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records and LK next year 8-)

Agreed, though I don’t care about stats and #s anyways

643,000 SPS units worldwide . . . . . it was quite of a flop wasn't it?

Beyonce or not Beyonce album the truth is that King B had never flopped before with an album related to her (neither with her solo releases or with DC). This is her first flop project.

The first Destiny’s Child album wasn’t a big success either. It did enough to stop them getting dropped, but the label gave them a small budget and a lot of creative freedom for TROTW because they weren’t one of their main priorities.

Destiny's Child debut album went Platinum (they were new artists and had no standards) and it even yielded a Top 3 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their debut was not a big success but they didn't really flop. This is the first time Beyonce is involved in a flop project.

I think it's shocking that this also already left the bb200 despite being available everywhere. This is definitely a flop for the names involved. They did the best they could that it would turn out this way but the total is what I would've imagined for the first week. I also doubt that the album will get any major nominations at the grammys. It was too much of a nonevent for voters to consider it.
Really curious how her next album will do, doubt that this is an indicator but she needs to step up her release game. Sad they wasted all the hype she had just half a year ago after Coachella

I still think some major executives wanted to teach them a lesson.

Summer is the only album track that is still racking up good streams. It is now the most streamed song after Apeshit and will soon be the first non-single to break 20mn streams on Spotify. It's still featured on Are&Be (4,6m followers) and Chill Hits (3,7m)

Of couse this is a Beyoncé album. The mental gymnastics here

Even Beyoncé herself considers it her album. Just take a look here on her discography page on her official site: https://beyonce.com/album/
