It's not like that they will be topping charts like before.Musicology wrote:The song is nothing special tbh and I can see why it flopped. It's an okay song but not the kind of song that would grab anyone's attention. I hope Janet gives us better songs than this on her EP.
And thisBojan wrote:Maybe she didn't do anything iconic in this decade, music wise, but "Unbreakable" got great reviews, it was included on many year-end lists and made her one of only three solo artists with No. 1 albums in each of the past four decades. That's iconic enough if you ask me. And she might have a No. 1 album in the next decade too.
I don't think that she should stop making music. It's still charting, it raises interest in her old music and she's even getting some new fans. Until recently it was really rare to see comments and tweets about her in Spanish, and now they're everywhere, and they are all positive. The number of subscribers on YouTube doubled in a month. She has millions and a half monthly listeners on Spotify more than usual, and the number of followers is rising faster than ever. Those are all good reasons to continue making new music and that upcoming song with Bruno Mars will most certainly help even more. Daddy Yankee isn't big in America but the song still charted. Imagine when she releases a song with Bruno.
