This is one of the better urban songs around at the moment, sampling Sting's Shape Of My Heart, it's been climbing for the last few months and peaked at #12 this week.

Big radio hit in Portugal.
It's not bad, but it sounds like all the other ones and it is very similar to several Post Malone stuff.

I do like the same though
I am the maniac, I am the ghoul
I'm in the shadows in the corners of my room

At least it's not Drake, so it's kinda tolerable

Well Drake has inspired a million and one of these acts, and sadly, they're all having chart success to the detriment of everyone else.

This guy was probably inspired by Future, Migos and other mumble rapper superstars (the same ones behind Drake's ''inspirations'' for his ''new sound''). It doesn't make the whole thing any better, because the whole urban mainstream is now one giant tomfoolery, a comedy show of sorts.

Since the song has become such a slowburner in the UK, I gave it a spin and structurewise, it reminds me of fun.'s 'Some Nights'. In other words, it doesn't really follow a traditional structural pattern (e.g. verse 1 - chorus - verse 2 - chorus - verse 3/c-part - chorus). Compared to most contemporary urban songs, its vocal performance as well as lyrics and instrumental are superior, though the song sounds more like a pop than a hip hop song. The song profits a lot from the sample; besides, the song sounds kind of samey and drags a bit too much towards the end. 4/10

Surprised you didn't comment on the sample.
