I agree. Both of these songs are dated and dull smh.
I don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing? :-?

I think you are too harsh.

She is doing her thing,...well is not fresh but dated is not equal to bad.

^ that 1:29 seconds is miles and miles better than that sad excuse of a video she released.

I really liked the official video. It's all about dancing and it's what missing in today's music videos. She keeps it oldschool and I like it.

The video really made me like the song!

Any info about the album?

While I don't think the official video is that bad, i agree the 1:29 above is definitely more entertaining. Still, she needs other material than this. Her only chance at a hit is if Urban and Rhytmic Radio get behind and she won't achieve that with those productions.

I personally love this jam but in radios eyes, this sounds dated, mediocre in 2018 and for video looks cheap AF. She definitely needs to launch the album with a strong single to launch pre-orders. And she must include at least the two singles, LU and Dose.

I’ll never understand these artists and labels that release “buzz” singles and when there is some sought of positive response from the public, they had no plan to push it.

Considering she's indie now, she probably doesn't have a competent team behind her. Look at "Level Up", performances on Ellen & AMA's, video crossing 100 million mark (which is pretty much an achievement for any female R&B artists today), created a quite popular dance challenge, etc. yet still no radio adds and Spotify push.

Either that or she's not interested in becoming a big star anymore.

I was late coming across this and had low expectations but this is her hottest uptempo in a while. It needs more publicity on the streaming platforms, it's just sad that I'm hearing 1, 2 Step on these services more than her new songs. :-?

Yes, it's one of her best singles from the last eras.

I agree. "Freak Me" was the perfect follow up and started creating a buzz too but instead she released Dose :/
