GetBack wrote:"Stay Long Love You" is the "Boy (I Need You)" of this album. It sounded like it was meant to be released 15 years ago. It's one of the weakest songs she's done.

This album is really good only Portrait ruins the flow in fact for me it's a 9 track CD.

It’s a cute Iil hoodrat album for 2018, but nothing on it comes close to the level of a We Belong Together (you could say the same for those other two albums tbh).

She should've changed the track listing to make Portrait fit a little better.

This would've been my track listing.

1. Runaway
2. GTFO
3. Caution
4. A No No
5. The Distance
6. Giving Me Life
7. One Mo' Gin
8. 8th Grade
9. Stay Long Love You.
10. With You
11. Portrait

I agree. Sounds like a TEOM or e=MC2 bonus track

True. Don't understand fans who rate it as the least best song on the album.

I would have probably left off With You and replaced it with Runway.
Baby, hell no, that's not the way it goes. It's all about me tonight.

Still loving the album. Don't know bout rating each song but if I had to order them in preference:

The Distance
Caution
One Mo' Gen
Giving Me Life
Stay Long Love You
GTFO
With You
A No No
8th Grade
Portrait

I‘m still not in love with it. There could have been a more varied sound palate to it imo.

This said, I give a few songs full credit for being dope and probably long-term favourites. I love 8th Grade and Caution. The Distance is still highly enjoyable, especially for the approaching Christmas season.

I like Stay Long... far more than One Mo' Gen. The latter is kinda repetitive.

My ranking so far would be:

1. Giving Me Life
2. 8th Grade
3. The Distance
4. Caution / Runway
5. Stay Long Love You
6. GTFO
7. A No No
8. One Mo' Gen
9. With You
10. Portrait

Mine would be

1. 8th Grade
... because it incoporates a sensual key tone into great songwriting.

2. Caution
... because of the subtle Caribbean beats. Love them.

3. Portrait
... because of its meaning and the last hook is so good!

4. The Distance
... because it’s nice and flattering to my ears. Also great background tune for safe social activities.

5. One Mo‘ Gen
... because making love is always a thing. One Mo‘ Gen.
Baby, hell no, that's not the way it goes. It's all about me tonight.

Still love the album as a whole. I agree though that she should have made more songs. Also, it is not something that clicks instantly as compared to her other albums. It reminds me of Chambracelet, the whole laid-back vibe is like she is being reborn after leaving her previous label.
