2017: SZA - Love Galore ft. Travis Scott
2016: Beyoncé - Formation
2015: Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money
2014: Beyoncé feat Jay-Z - Drunk in Love
2013: Drake - Hold On, We’re Going Home
2012: N/A
2011: Beyoncé - Run the World (Girls)
2010: N/A
2009: Beyoncé – Halo

I would have given it to Adorn or Climax in 2012.
I think Ride by Ciara would have won in 2010.
Whew. "Hold On We're Going Home" is definitely not the song I was expecting to have won this! :o It's a great song though. I agree with "Adorn" or "Climax" in 2012, as for 2010 I would've given it to either "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" or "Love The Way You Lie" or even maybeeee "There Goes My Baby".

Drake is the only winner that I agree with so far. It seems to often go to the predictable gay icon like Beyoncé, regardless of song quality. If there was a countdown in 2010 it may have been won by Un-Thinkable, deservedly so.

There's no list of voters so I can't really predict, but I'd say it's "ApeHIT".

Edit: Wait, do people count "God Is A Woman" as R&B? If that so that's the one, if not, then "Apeshit".

All the winners are really good, except Halo which isn't even an urban song.

I usually skip Song OTY as this is always too hard for me to compile as there are just too many good songs/singles/album tracks throughout a year to remember let alone rank all of them but I'll try and send a list tomorrow

You could just look at your most played Urban songs of the year and do it that way.

I hope Curry or Yawnce do not take this, it would be nice to have a newcomer pull off an upset.....

This is probably the toughest countdown I can remember. Literally urban artists were on fire this year. So much greatness.

I think all my top artists are either black or Kali Uchis

Let me try to decide.
