UKMIX Urban/R&B Album of the Year 2018

Moderators: urbanmusik, Benjamin

This is usually a really fun chart because it reflects what most of the community here appreciates. I do have a problem when members who joined ukmix exclusively to discuss one single artist, visit threads only by that single artist, take part in no discussions in this website whatsoever, and flock this thread just for vote that single artist.

It is at the minimum annoying, but also obsessive. You don't care for the rest of UKmix, but you flock here to vote for Mariah. And yes, I've seen how at least one member has been campaigning for "lambs" to come vote for Mariah in this single thread. I also have to laugh here when the people criticizing me for my opinion have 97% of their posts in the GAD Mariah threads  . You are just further confirming my opinion.

So much great urban production this year, with plenty of variety...

But yeah moving on. You wanna vote for Mariah, vote for Mariah. At least bother to play 4 more albums, maybe you'll find out better things exist out there.

Would it make sense to vote for Amerie's EPs as one project? I've seen them being called a double album anyway.

Okay just seen some of the album's reviews and you're right, let's count it as one project. Edited the first post.

Jeez all I see from posts outside of Mariah’s GAD thread is how crazy and obsessed the lambs are  perhaps it isn’t the lambs who are obsessed?

Are albums on the list the only ones allowed?

Any chance SIR REBEKKAH HOLYLOVE by Joi could please be added? I know I’m the only person who will vote for it but still, it was either my Number 1 or Number 2 album of the year!

It's more like a list of the most popular choices, so I don't think Abi has anything against you voting for albums which are not included (if they are r&b/urban of course)

New banner cause I wanna reach different demographics.

I'll probably start promoting this next week after Zayn & XXXXtentskshfdgbs release their albums. After that, I don't think we'll have anymore confirmed Urban/R&B-related releases. Plus, I already received 11 votes so this is actually looking quite promising so far and I wanna thank you guys for your enthusiasm! Let's all have fun and do not take this too seriously. :P

Top 6 was so easy. I kind of struggled with #7-#10 because they were equally unspectacular almost.

Just sent mine. I realized how many artists are not bothering with full-length albums and are just releasing EPs and random singles.
