And another thing, why songs are now two minutes long?
Because it makes it easier to add to streaming and radio playlists

At least Beyonce has the voice, charisma & stage presence to complement her image. What does Normani have apart from her past as a member of a basic girl group that was relevant for 15 minutes? She is not a star. She is very lucky to have Sam's inner diva stanning for her.

Oh for God's sake...let this girl figure out who she is. She's just getting started.

Beyonce wasn't always "Beyonce". They all have to start somehere. I swear people just don't want to see young female artists have any kind of success.

She might not have the voice but she definitely has charisma and stage presence, that's more than many artists who had their breakthrough.

I don't get why we can't give the girl two seconds to explore her sound as solo act. I mean girl was part of a manufactured group which label made some terrible choices for their creative process, it will take a few moments before she will find her lane and all the songs she released or has been featured on are just a great way to introduce her to different audiences aswell. She seems to have a great work ethic and seems to have a lot of support from peers and people in the business.

I am still pretty obsessed with this, which doesn't happen to often with music these days for me.

But Beyonce always had a clear direction ever since she came out with Destiny's Child. But anyway, you're right. My bad, I figure they're still testing the waters & taking the Camila route by getting her name out there.

It's just that... ever since she posted that Amerie/Beyonce's B'Day-esque song on IG, it was a bop and because of that, in my head I always thought she was gonna be taking the heavy Urban/R&B direction which is why I'm confused why they keep having her release all these Dance/Pop songs. My bad.

Testing the waters implies that you are only here for the HITS AND COMMERCIAL success.

If you have a vision you won't have to do this BS.

Check Frank Ocean, Sza etc vs Tinashe ... to a certain degree Ciara post 2008, Kelly Rowland

Wrong example. Kelly did "Dilemma" which unexpectedly shot up the charts so then the label forced her to go to the studio and released Simply Deep and pushed back Bey's Dangerously in Love because they wanted to used that "Dilemma" momentum, they wanted them $$$.

At the end of the day she is signed to a commercial record label and i bet they want to see some kind of commercial succes. Both Frank and Sza have a complete different careerpath

This is just excellent! Love Sam most when he’s not doing his boring ballads.

I think this is almost great, but something is missing.

He can make a bopper when he wants to!

His ballads are very samey and don't compete to his first album.

I wish Normani was on the first chorus though. But this is growing on me.

I'm afraid it is too understated for my liking.

I said this before... this would have been better if Normani led.

Sam would be a nice a climax.
